A lot of you sound like a bunch of fan girls that cannot fathom any of their players doing wrong. The justifying and saying the cops screwed him over is hilarious.

My guess is not only did the cops try to work with him before, but probably could have stuck him with a more serious possession charge and chose not to. I imagine they got to the point where they were required to do their job and take him into custody after repeated attempts to work with him. No fault in that.

Lol. So when the cops have given him 4 warnings in the past without arresting him they are the stupid ones for making the arrest the 5th time? I think you need a mirror.

It sounds like the stupid thing is that they made up a drug charge so they could arrest him for the noise problems.

Looks like he was given every chance not to get into trouble. The sad thing his all he had to do was keep clean and be good for 4 months had he would have been set for life.

Really don't think anything like this has an impact as far as the NBA. They care about one thing and it's not how much weed you smoke or how often you've gotten in trouble for weed and being an idiot. If he can ball, he'll play in the NBA.

What about the repeated noise violations - how is that simply "cops being stupid". Hopefully the drug charges go away but BDJ is a *******.

That is why you make him run and cut his minutes. Assuming the story is correct this is the same as Monte getting busted for being in a bar.

My mom who is as clean as you can be was pulled over in town because she didn't realize she didn't have her lights on. The cop is like have you been drinking and all that. Cops try to make bs stuff stick all the time.

I sure wish the Ames police would have gave me 5 warnings(or maybe 1) before they sent me off to the Story county jail for public intox. I wasn't even bothering anyone.

being warned for being loud isn't exactly the worst thing. Jesus....I was a girl living on a engineering dorm floor and got warned for noise.

Yeah, we're talking one warning a month here, not exactly all that extreme for college.

If they found a little weed on a dresser that's not "making up a drug charge" they could have hit him with a stiffer punishment. If it smelled like burnt weed than they likely found a roach somewhere and no one would admit it was there's so they charged the home owner. That's what happens when you have ****** friends who won't man up.

I'm assuming he means for tickets.

That would make more sense. But still, he must have used all his Christmas money or his mommy gave him extra allowance.

He had trouble coming up with $6 to get into the Rec the other day.

Because they power tripped over a loud stereo. Same thing happened to Nealy last spring.

Power tripped? So are they just supposed to ignore neighbor's continued complaints? They set up a texting system for him for God's sake. What else are they supposed to do? Yeah, sounds like a real power trip there.
And Nealy was repeatedly warned as well. How about just not being an obnoxious ******* to your neighbors or the cops when they are giving you warning after warning?

It seems strange that he got this drug house arrest but no one got busted for possession. Can you arrest someone based on smell alone?

There's also the possibility they chose to charge it as a lesser crime as it was his first time. My guess is they found a little bit of weed, didn't want to see the kid rot or anything but had reached a point where enough was enough and they had to do their job.
