Looks like Ohio State and Villanova are both behind by double digits. We would at least jump #12 Ohio State. And with UNC beating them it helps us since Iowa beat UNC @ UNC. Syracuse is playing Villanova and Iowa lost to Syracuse so it should help Iowa's RPI there as well.

I wonder if we gain any extra support from the media if McKay has a good stat line.

Ohio State really hasn't played anyone (except Louisville, which they lost), but they're getting exposed today. Big 10 won't have much to hang their hats on going into conference season. Lots of bad losses and very pedestrian teams.

Hold your heathen tongue! How dare you speak of the best conference in the land in such a way.

Still a lot of time in the Syracuse game and it looks like they are starting to lose the lead. Glad to see the L1ttle continue to struggle. With a win today it does seem like there is room to move up.

Looks like we are passing Ohio State for sure. Is there a season where they are not overrated in either football, basketball, or both? Villanova is making a comeback, but if they lose we will pass them too. Probably looking at becoming #11 this week.

Villanova is overrated just like they were last year. Regardless of whether they come back and win.

Man, maybe I'm a huge kool-aid drinking homer, but I watch other teams play and I just don't see another team that I don't think we could match up with, especially if we're on. Even Kentucky, a team I'd want to avoid until the final four, I think on a good night we would have a puncher's chance.

I think that we have the pieces in place to give anyone a run for their money on a good night. We seem to go cold and get sloppy on D a bit too much for my liking, but that's only because I want us to win every game by 30. ;) There are teams like Kentucky that have more weapons and a deeper roster of contributors, but I honestly think we have the talent and team make-up to match up well with most teams.

Tell me in Feb/March.

Nice to have ISU ranked and all, but there's a whole lot that can happen in 3 months.
