I have been hearing a ton of praise for ISU and Hoiberg the last few weeks, even if it is not a Big 12 game. Love it!
I swear you can't watch any game these days without hearing isu randomly brought up in it. Seems every person on espn anyways has isu as their favorite team to watch. Got to love it, constant advertising for us and good for recruiting. Only team i can think of brought up as much as isu is Kentucky. Have to think recruits are getting our fun style of play and constant attention being drilled in their heads. When comparing fast fun styles of play to football we are the oregon of football. When does nike want to do a huge endorsement with us like oregon.

We are fun to watch because we score! No one wants to see a team like cincinnati that passes the ball around for 34 seconds then takes a bad shot.

The good thing is this year and every game IS on ESPN!
KC sports talk was really praising ISU this week, it was nice to hear.
Big props from Seth and Jay tonight, too for the first Game Day. Said Michigan will have to do pretty good to match ISU showing. I think the term he used was "spectacular". Maybe something else, but high praise, whatever the term. We made our indelible mark, at least for this year.

Everyone at ESPN definitely got the memo. They're so dominant, that it does sometimes seem like national media = ESPN (especially basketball).

Lot of butt-hurt over at phog.net regarding media attention to clones. In general some over there going off the deep end with hate at all things ISU.

The more you get to know kansas fans the more you realize theyre basically just blue hawkeyes.
College basketball needs a team like ISU (not saying we're the only one but it's like 10% of teams at best that truly push the pace of the game with the ball) in order to be fun to watch unless it's your favorite team or the tournament, the 35 second clock is ridiculous.

As for best player in the conference I think it is pretty wide open. There are quite a few players who could claim it if they finish hot.
They need to get together with Iowa fans and decide who our superbowl really is, we can't be playing 6-7 Superbowls a year just among KU and Iowa. I think as long as we stay at this level KU is officially our rival with Missouri gone. The language in that thread means rival.

KU fans complaining about booing in other arenas is like white trash complaining about the quality of everyone else's house in the trailer park. Probably literally in most of their cases.
For a top flight team who has won as many titles as they have, they've sure got themselves low rent fan base.
