A lot of acceptance of failure.
A lot of not knowing anything about basketball also
A lot of acceptance of failure.
7-2. No freaking way we go 5-4.
Really? Should everyone act like a little ***** and rip on players? Yeah, that sounds a lot more productive.
Defending the football team is acceptance of failure. This is just called being rational.
Mobbed before the block - no foul. Because Kansas.

Hats off to ISU for the tough battle tonight. They fought to the end and were tough to finish off. That was an amazing game by Nianhg out there. He was very impressive. KU needed to severely improve their transition defense, hit more threes, drive to contact AND get better play from their backup bigs to pull off a win against ISU and they were able to accomplish all of these things tonight. That was a thrilling game to watch between two very good teams.
I was glad KU was able to force ISU into a lot more half court offense because they haven't been great in the half court in the road games I have watched them play. Niang's great play kept them in the game but KU was mostly able to keep the rest of the team under control and make everything hard for them.
KU had to shoot really well in a game where they were basically conceding the offensive glass and they pulled it off. Greene coming in and hitting those two big threes was huge to ignite KU in the first half. He is going to be a lethal sharpshooter as his career rolls along. Once again, hats off to ISU for an epic battle. The Big 12 looked strong tonight. No one is going to want to play either of those teams come tourney time.
We had a chance to take the lead to 15 or so in the first half but couldn't hit our shots while KU was shooting cold. That would have had it tied at half time and within 5 at times late in the second.
That being said, the finals game versus KU in Kansas City is going to be one for the ages.
Um, at no point was ISU up by more than 7 and that was for a total of 34 seconds so maybe I missed when you had a chance to go up by "15 or so".
Would like to think so. Our toughest 3 games (in theory) are over (KU, @KU, @WV). But these guys have laid some real eggs (see SC, TT). I don't get the same sense of toughness and resiliency as last year's squad. I don't think it's unrealistic to think we lose @OU, @UT, maybe also one of @OSU or @K-State. That's 6-3. Playing WV again (even in Hilton) will be like getting your wisdom teeth pulled and a bunch of cavities filled in the same visit.
Optimist in me sees a path to 9-0. Realist sees 6-3. Hopefully it's closer to 9-0!
Uphill battle to win the league, but still think this team has the ability to get hot at the right time. Need to sure up some things defensively, but we have the capacity to be a very solid team.
