While Thomas didn't make any bad plays directly, the entire flow of the game seemed to change as soon as he came in. Maybe it was a coincidence, but it certainly happened.
no the flow changed when we played like ****

It was a coincidence. Niang's turnovers, plus OU draining some shots ****** away that lead.

I know Niang is undersized down low but he is getting abused on the boards. Add in some dumb turnovers and woof.

It probably had more to do with the fact that Hogue and BDJ had to sit with 2 fouls. I specifically watched Thomas. All I saw him do was hit his free throws.

No it didn't. We just stopped hitting shots we were hitting.

Naz missed an open three.
Monte missed a pair of layups.

To further help, Niang gave away a pair of turnovers.

Here nor there
He only really participated in two plays...

One) He drove the ball, got fouled, made his shots. About as good as you can ask for a possession.
Two) Got off a bad shot with withering defense crawling all over him... would have happened to any of them.

I didn't see any particular lapse on defense from him.

Niang turning the ball over like four times and not passing out of triple teams hurt a lot more.

I know Thomas is a relative disappointment versus his ranking and how Morris developed from the same class, but he was a slight + contributor in limited minutes so far tonight.
Is that a positive?

We got caught up at the end. It all started when Long could not finish on the fast-break to go up 12. You are not going to get calls going to the hoop on the road and Georges is not going to beat Thomas or Spangler. They are just too big, tough, and athletic.

OU opens up with a gift call. What bs

we need niang in the post or doing something from the ft line in, all the other stuff happens with him trying to dribble the air out of the ball and turning it over. He gets 10 pts in the paint this second half we win this.

That was an excellent first half of basketball. It is to bad a lot of posters missed it because they were to busy whining about this or that.

Jay Williams is right. The rest of college basketball sucks compared to Hoiball in entertainment value.
