I don't mind having other viewpoints from other team's fans here at all, as long as they're not trolls. Some of you guys are way to sensitive.

They are trolls! One of them literally told us that he wouldn't expect us to know what a zone defense was but since he had so much knowledge of the game he could share some of his knowledge with us. That's now a viewpoint. That is absolutely disrespecting us on our board. I'm not even saying they shouldn't be here, it just proves that a lot of KU fans honestly believe that they know more and are somehow experts because they are fans of KU basketball. That is the epitome of a D-Bag! Having respect would be a much better way to approach fans of another school on their message board.

Sorry to bring this thread back to life but the irony is just too sweet to enjoy. Kansas fans are melting down about the officiating in last nights loss at West Virginia. Now all of a sudden what happened prior to the end of the game and a "questionable" call doesn't matter... it's only the "bad" call that decided the game. Hmmm... I seem to remember how Kansas fans made fun of ISU fans non-stop for saying similar things when ISU was robbed in Hilton on the horrible block/charge no call. Interesting....

A selection from the Phog...

"I'm also one who's wondering where your reasoning comes from that no official makes that at "that point in the game"? Was KU's performance so lackluster to that point, the refs decided they didn't deserve an obvious call? As for those KU fans who always pat themselves on the back with reasoning that the horrible officiating shouldn't be blamed for a loss, tell me why the rules in place shouldn't be followed? Saying blatant favoritism doesn't influence the outcome of a game is ignorant. Regardless of plays that should have been or weren't made prior, that lack of making the correct call at a very crucial moment dictated the outcome of the game."

Looked at that Vine and in super slow motion it looks pretty clear Staten took a third step on his jump for the layup. There would be no way to see that in full speed though. When I watched live I thought he went off his pivot foot and didn't even bring his right foot down for the third step.

wow...this is precisely why I hate KU fans. They turn on their own with so much venom. The fact is, Ellis has kept them in many of their games this year. If not for him, I'm not sure they are at the top of the conference. I don't really like the guy and he's not going to be a stand-out after college, but crucifying him like that is a bit much. How about this...why doesn't the rest of the team show up and rebound the friggin ball on the defensive glass. Had they done that, KU would have won by double digits. A$$holes.

No one boos like ISU fans. It's close between you guys and KSU fans, but ISU fans are the only fans that boo their own team's intentional fouls.

You are are straddling the fine line between stupid and ******** right now.

I guess this is what happens to a fan base when they don't get every call late. Tough ****. Do what you always tell us to do and move on. Isn't blaming the refs for losers guys?

When they don't get the calls late? These are the fans that are used to getting every call late and they arrogantly deny that they do. The "phantom 3 at the Phog" was no big deal... the horrendous block/charge no call in Hilton was just "letting the players decide the game"... etc... They are the "bad calls happen throughout the game so you can't pinpoint a bad call late and claim that decided the game" fans.

Oh but when it happens to them the bad call at the end of the game is all that matters, the refs are out to get them, the refs are the worst in the history of basketball, they got hosed, they got screwed, they got jammed, everyone is out to get them, etc....

Staten clearly travelled, and it's a good thing it happened to KU. It's just too bad it won't matter in the final standings, as they will still win the regular season.
