Now that would be a sight to see! Actually thought about seeing if he was up for a visitor later.

I mean, it sounds like a good story, but really, it was just a fight over someone saying "Earl" was cooler than Joe. Things escalated, other guy broke a beer bottle, Joe did what he had to do.

If you're in a left turn lane at a stoplight, is it necessary to have your blinker on?

Albert Maysles died today.

Who?

He and his brother were film documentary pioneers. Best know for the documentary Gimme Shelter showing a fan being stabbed to death at Altamont CA in 1969 by Hells Angels (hired for security).

Buddy and I are huge fans of their documentary "What's Happening in the USA" which followed the Beatles around when they hit NYC in Feb 64. Incredible the amount of access they were given. And the best best BEST part about it is: it's just them interacting and with their entourage. None of that "Hey, now its 50 years later and what does it all mean, what did the 60's mean? ********. Just the ambient then-as-it-happened soundtrack of the documentary.

"What's Happening in the USA" is also known as Beatlles First US Visit, but I think that's actually somewhat edited. Still a great viewing.
