At Hilton OU could've taken a shot clock violation every possession and won, Felix takes the dumbest shot on earth, Spangler misses a wide open layup and KU wets themselves for a 5 min stretch. The last 6 games had some great moments for ISU, but a lot went our way in all those games that was pure dumb luck.
And do what? You can go 32-0 but if you lose 3 hours into the tourney its pointless.
Fundamentals, box out. Too many times I see one person sitting under the hoop watching for the ball. 12-2 at the start of the game. Then the turnovers started to let them back in it.
This ending sure sucked, but we are still the big 12 champs, and we accomplished a lot this year. Too bad we couldn't advance (bracket is officially screwed now)

Whenever these guys start to like themselves a lot, better get ready for the Big Disappointments to come.

UAB looked like a really bad basketball team that flat out-hustled us. Hit nothing at the beginning of each half, and couldn't miss at key stretches at the end of both halves. Used clock to frustrate, and flopped in some shots just before the 0. Offensive rebounded the dog out of us. We turned the ball over so many times by over-passing, and their length gave our guys trouble to no end. Wasn't expecting Niang to look so out of sorts 2nd half, but he was. And with that, we're out.

This is the actual answer, not the #9 stuff or anything else.
We didn't respect them, and they came to play.
Congrats to UAB. Good fans, and a good game from your team.
At some point Fred should of pulled Georges out. His judgement with the ball was ? IDK how to describe it. Methodical sloppy *ss basketball. That was embarrassing. The wake up call should of been before we walked out onto the floor today. I love this team as much as the next guy but getting smacked like that was tough. Of all the games we came from the last 5 games this one should of been the easiest to take control of. WTF so pi**ed off. WE'll good season and I"m still proud of all of them. To be honest if I had to hear one more "Mayor" story I was about ready to puke it.
This program isn't going to compete for a deep,toruney run until the team plays defense and rebounds. It's great seeing isu have a great offense and all and it's entertaining but without defense and rebounding it's a moot point come tourney.
