Quick question. If Fred does leave, would anyone think about transferring before the start of the year? I don't know why they would, but nothing would surprise with the Chosen One leaving Ames after how last year ended and what we have coming back.

How would anyone on here know?

It was a dream of his to coach at ISU.

It was a dream of his to coach in the NBA.

Both of those things have been stated multiple times. I don't see why they can't be true. Something being a dream job doesn't mean that you are obligated to do it for the rest of your career.
When did Fred say it would.be a dream to coach the nba?

Every day I wake up and check this to see if he's left yet. No way he doesn't know about this from the fan base. So hus silence speaks volumes.

I read somewhere he wants to let his kids finish the school year before an announcement so they don't have to deal with it. My thought is if that's a real problem there are other things for hoiberg to worry about.

if Fred goes to the Bulls he will have a great shot to break some of Tim Floyd's Bulls records. Both have similar ISU high water marks.

Where did you read that? How could Fred have said that when he hasn't said anything?

When Floyd left, he was on the verge of building a NC team. Larry did well with Fizer and picking up Tinsely, but after that it was down hill.

The concern i have is if Fred does leave with the verge of creating something special in Ames, does it take another 15 years before we see something special again.

that was someone else's take on it. Not Fred's.

Exactly. The second Fred says anything, trust me we'll all hear it. He has literally not said anything publicly since his tweet right after leaving the Mayo Clinic.

Unless you count Charlie Henry's tweet that showed a text from Fred, telling him which plays to watch from the NBA games that night. Which turns out, could have been them two scouting teams and lot plays. Semi :jimlad:

Gilbert last day of school is June 1. Can't imagine Fred or the Bulls are going to wait another 2 weeks to announce what their respective plans are.

I have, at various times in my life, spoken to actual human beings.
None are connected to Fred Hoiberg, at least to my knowledge.

Because of this, I believe that he will either stay or go, but don't have any information as to which it could be.

This is how most of Ames is waking up:

Re: Hoiberg to Accept Bulls Job, If Offered

JFC, they put a story out off that one guys tweet? So now a local news station is citing a tweet from a guy who works for Fox sports west to generate news? They work out of Des Moines and that is their best source? What the ****.

How does this happen with a respected NBC affiliate? WHO is 40 miles from Ames and then are relying on a guy that lives in LA that no one has ever heard of??

Wow.
