TJ is already here and on contract with a senior laden team that can't and won't transfer. It's not like we just signed a bunch of top HS recruits who might bolt if fred leaves...point is that we already have TJ and if JP hires TJ as HC then 1 of 2 things has happened. 1- aboit a dozen or so more qualified candidates have turned Isu down or 2- JP wants to save millions to be able to buyout CPr contract...JP hiring of his buddies hasn't exactly worked out so well and given the state of the football program and the money being poured into that program JP surely realizes that in order to have money flowing in that one of the two big sports must have fan support and excitement. Hiring TJ no longer makes the parkay season tickets $5000 a pop etc...it's like Bill Self leaving KU and hiring His main asst. I realize ku is a diff level but right now this program is Top 15. If Kruger left OU you think they promote their top asst? Hell freakin no.

Yes, Max is the guy I was thinking of specifically. But we are kidding ourselves if we think he is the only recruit out there considering ISU being negatively impacted. If I was a high-schooler I would have absolutely no confidence Fred would be here for 2016-17 and would be staying away from the uncertainty. If Fred stays silent for weeks and then by some miracle stays he would still be doing long-term damage to the program unless he also stated he intends to wait for a while before pursuing NBA.

Fred has turned down in the 10's of NBA jobs according to Travis Hines already. This doesn't change anything for recruits. They know the score every year. It's both a blessing and a curse.

Florida just hired Michael White. Go check out that guys resume.

Pollard doesnt leve the tour if fred is staying. Fred knows it is important and any raise or assistants pay could wait until tomorrow.

Maybe Fred needs to give the Bulls an answer today. I have no idea what will happen, but I just don't agree that his silence means it is a done deal that he is gone. His silence only means that he is not 100% sure he's staying and or sees it as an opportunity to leverage this for more pay for himself, assistants or more op budget.

Maybe Fred is just letting this run its course as long as his NBA brand keeps increasing. And then, he will leverage it for recruiting for Iowa State.

Don't know why people are knocking Michael White. He is considered one of the up and coming coaches in college basketball. If Fred were gone and he hadn't been hired by Florida I would be happy with ISU hiring him.

You ou are comparing a top 10 football school? Florida could care less who their bball coach is. Isu is and always will be a bball school. U think Duke fans give a rats *** who their fball coach is...Hell Florida has won a title in bball and their fans still don't give a ****.

Seems like the Bullz have a Tom Thibedeau problem right now. I wonder if he will just let them twist in the wind as long as he feels like it. Drink as much free coffee and use the workout facility a few last times before he goes.

And White is considered a top asst...TJ has been a asst coach at some bad Isu teams and bad washington teams. I don't think he's been a part of a ncaa team yet in his 10 years of coaching.

Regardless of all the speculation and what really happens, the timing of this whole thing really sucks. Right after Fred and Jamie's surgeries, during the middle of the tailgate tour, middle of recruiting transfers, most of the players gone from campus and just now getting back, etc. Everyone is in a stalemate right now and nothing can happen until somebody makes a move.

Not true. He was on Fred's staff for the first 3 years. So, 2 NCAA tourneys

Otz was here for 2/4 of Hoiberg's NCAA teams. Not sure why you would try to spread false information like that.

TJ recruits his azz off and will continue to do so. CBB is 80% recruiting and 20% everything else. Being a recruiter with a history of getting top talent at both ISU and UW intrigues me a lot more than an 120-40 record at LA Tech.

Everywhere I go I hear something about a head coach and where they will end up. I come here and its CFH and the bulls and when i go to letsgowings.com it's about Mike Babcock and where he will end up. I just want to know the answer!

I'm slowly dying inside.

TJ also jumps at what are at best lateral job opportunities.
