Mobile like! Has to be one of the hardest decisions of his life. There's no way he's taking it lightly.

Oh, to be in his head and at their family dinner table.

I've said this before, but I would be thinking "I could BE ISU Basketball and Ames/ISU if I stay" (again, that's my values as I recognize beyond money, how cool of opportunity this is).

He will always be The Mayor and an ISU great....this decision does, however, impact the true "legend" status he could obtain. He stays and has success, statue, renaming streets/building status...he leaves now, probably no more public recognition/honors.

They are pretty much split on CFH. Some say absolutely while others trash him. But the overwhelming sentiment is that he will be their new coach.

Here is what their poll results look like:

A small bit of smoke that Fred is having second thoughts. Still think he's leaving, but it certainly isn't a "done deal" like many like to claim.

Not sure if what I'm hearing is a result of 1) a real change of heart, 2) consideration of TWolves job, or 3) attempt to put pressure on Bulls to move quicker. The dynamics of these things are always so much more fluid than people want to believe (much like recruiting) so it'll be interesting to see how things progress with organic leaks vs on-purpose positioning.

4) RubyClone serenading him on his front lawn with "if you leave me now...."

There were tears.

Mostly mine. Mostly from the pepper spray.

Adding a quick update that 2 other sources are now saying things could be hitting reverse a bit to heavily consider the TWolves opportunity for next year rather than take the Bulls this year. #1 draft pick really changed things and I wouldn't at all be surprised to hear that Fred will be back - only to have a behind the scenes "in principle" agreement to coach the TWolves next year. Mixed feelings on how that would benefit ISU given our big recruiting needs for next year.

Today is another important day for Gilbert track at state meet. Would guess it's the priority for today for Hoiberg and Pollard families

It kind of weirds me out how everyone knows Pagie's life. Is that odd to anyone else? Maybe it's readily available information, but still....

Same, but I also really want to go to the final four and rosters like next year don't come around too often. Maybe I'm too shortsighted but I'm fine with going all in next year even if it puts us back a little the year after.
