Competely untrue...
It's rare for a Mid a Major coach to take over a higher level program and bring over his entire previous staff.
Really? Well, please tell Mike White that. Just took over from Donovan at Florida, retained none of the old assistants, brought in all of his own. You know, from La Tech, that mid-major?

At the beginning of the week I was convinced he was gone. However, the longer this drags on makes me think there is a good chance of staying. Maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part

Personally I think it's best for all parties for him to stay one more year, win the Big12 and the National Title, then go to the Timberwolves.

Just because it happens doesn't mean it is common. Pretty often a staff member from the previous coach is held over.

It's kind of hard for things to move when the first domino hasn't fallen yet.

Perhaps. I know the Bulls are trying get a pick for Thibbs, but I don't see anyone giving anything up for him and I think if anyone was interested, it would have probably happened by now. I know there is a report out there that the Lakers are interested, but I don't see them getting rid of their current coach just after one year.

Again, probably wishful thinking on my part

I envision Randy Pete as the old guy who tries to date the 20 year old girls. 'See I'm hip, I use twitter...'

What the Bulls are doing to Thibs is pretty ridiculous and awful. I understand it's a business, but this organization has done nothing but disrespect him and treat him like a piece of meat. The front office in Chicago is what's wrong with the Bulls and why anyone as highly sought after as Fred would want to work for them, is beyond absurd.

This was the first time in a week I have gotten on to CF and this thread wasn't in the top three of the front page...

Everyone must've already jumped off the cliff.
