We need him to be Edozie this year?

Edozie didn't play at all once McKay became eligible so he was just a practice player. I think he got 1 or 2 minutes of meaningful action at the end of a half one game in conference play

And he started the OU senior night game didn't he? :)

now that CFH is gone the usual ******* crew is going to discover very soon that we must have a lot more HOK FANS trolling here than we thought. i mean god forbid that anyone question strategy, tactics, or direction.

Not a huge splash, but this late in the game hard to have that. I don't see any major contributions from this guy, but who knows what he will develop into. And, we have scholarships available and more importantly need some practice guys.

In other words, I really don't have an issue with this offer. Now, if this is what we're seeing as offers next spring, then there should be cause for concern. For now - welcome aboard!

When you said Gesell and Morris were "basically a wash" you made it clear you were either a Hawk fan or your opinion shouldn't be taken seriously here

Agreed, hes definitely worth a shot at this point, what else is there left out there for this season? He does look like he'll be someone that will muddy up the water a little bit with physical play which we definitely need, hope he does well :)

Ha, even Hawk fans can't seriously believe that can they?

I'm well aware of this since I pointed it out about Edozie in the Iowa thread. It is scary to think this is who would have to fill in if either of Niang or McKay were to miss time. I'm still going to hold out hope for a late transfer big that is eligible.

I agree, lots of overanylizing on here. It is a filler of a roster spot and nothing more right now, people don't need to cry wolf just yet.

Why not just save this scholly for next year? Surely this isnt the best we can do. A completely unranked guy who even midmajors walked away from. Doesnt seem like a good idea. Guy needs to get a sweet tribal tattoo and become our own ryan spangler

you realize the gesell outplayed morris the year before, right? I was looking at a head to head matchup, not careers or NBA prospects. it wasnt some outlandish opinion even if you and your roommates repeat it 100 times.

Yep. Not a lot of risk here and some potential as a roll player by junior/senior year.

We will still have to fill 5-7 scholarships in the next year even with this guy. That's still plenty of room to find some studs. When you have 13 scholarships, you will always have 2-3 guys that are long shots to play significant minutes.

I agree in some aspects, but we are getting at least 3 roster/scholly spots open next year to graduation, plus the 1 extra we have currently. Maybe even up to 5 if MM leaves. We will have plenty of scholly spots, and I could even see them asking for him to preferred walkon if he doesn't show any improvement in the next 2 years.
