This article is why I hate Iowa fans so much

It's called rationalization. They can't deal with their failures on the field, so they find other ways to rationalize their "superiority." It helps Hawks sleep at night.

Holy insecure author batman! I really don't understand the delusion of Hawk fans to think this is remotely true. Not one Cyclone fan I know was satisfied after the last 2 seasons. Hell, most of us were disappointed with the ending of 2012 even though we went to a bowl. Times are changing, Iowa isn't' the big fish anymore and I don't think their fans are handling it well. Maybe they are still a little bit ahead of us but that gap is shrinking quick. This author is exhibit A of not handling the change of status well.

Just more typical whining from a typical hok. "Boo-hoo! We should be entitled to win every game we show up for! Boo-hoo! Iowa State should bow down to our greatness! Boo-hoo! Poor us! We're entitled!"

**** off.

Our football coach won 2 games last year and they want him fired. They really hate being little brother in the state

Why is the author filled with so much hate? He also needs to realize Iowa is following ISU in facility updates.

Not clicking the story for obvious reasons.

Only one time...1998...did one victory make a season for me. The challenge of beating Big 12 opponents and the quest to become bowl eligible is the ultimate goal. The Iowa game is typically big (not only for the rivalry) because it's one of the more winnable games on Iowa State's schedule each season.

There were a lot of great things about the 90's but it's time to grow up and join us a decade and a half after they ended.

Truth is, Iowa is one of the worst 2-4 teams we play most years. It's shocking how they are still surprised when they lose.

Little Brother.......what an outdated moniker for them to be using in today's world; greater enrollment, parity in head-to-head football, dominance in basketball. I can't help but laugh at these liberal arts narcissist twinks vicarious feelings of superiority due to their attendance at a school with doctor and lawyer trainees. God I'm glad I'm not a Iowa fan.
