Got a six of Leinenkugel's grapefruit shandy. Really refreshing after a bunch of outdoor work yesterday!

Not Your Father's Root Beer --- Hard Root Beer.

Good stuff if you like root beer and alcohol.

My new favorite - Oscar Blues Pinner IPA

This beer is perfect. Full of flavor, but light bodied and crushable. And in cans.

They're probably a super long ways from ever canning, but Pulpit Rock's (new brewery in Decorah) Eazy Lover Session IPA is like a juicier Pinner. So ******* good.

Made a little beer run to Wisconsin last weekend and stayed overnight in Decorah. It's been a year since I made this run and it's amazing how much the selection in Iowa has improved. I did pick up some Southern Tier, New Glarus, and Ballast Point.

Checked out Pulpit Rock in Decorah and was pretty impressed for such a new place. I had a Pour Over Porter that was excellent. Of course I went to TG and had some Nelson Schmelsson, Morning Latte, and King Sue.

Splurged and bought some Alpine Pure Hoppiness, Stone Enjoy by 12/25, and Death by Coconut. I've been really impressed with everything I've had from Alpine.

Picked up some Madhouse Carpe Diem 2016. They say it tastes similar to a TG Mornin Delight. 4.34 on Untappd

Water or soda once again. I decided to take a bit of a sabbatical from booze on New Years day. The goal is to make it to St Paddy's, so at this time next week I expect to be nursing a monster hangover.

Any recommendations for getting back on the wagon?

On the road...
Boulevard is finally in AZ and I loaded up on whatever I could find. Tried "The Calling" "Heavy Lifting" "Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale" and killed the "Long Strange Tripel" last night and man that was really solid. Going to try the "Early Riser" and "Dark Truth" tonight.
