Most suites are owned by companies. Not that unusual to have fans from the other school in some of the suites. Happens almost every game.

This is so true.

I knew a guy who did a lot of business in Nevada and Georgia. He purchased a suite for the Arizona State Sundevils explicitly to invite customers in a year when ASU played Georgia and Nevada. This was several years ago. I think he paid $32,000 for it and he told me it was worth every cent.

The Hawk fan next to me after Iowa scored their last TD:

"Good, now sit down and shut up. I'm tired of hearing you yell the entire game. You've been too loud"

LMAO

Had a drunken Hawk woo girl down the row from us. The high-pitched wooing that rattles the small bones in your ears. She was screeching and jumping up and down and whatever stretchy contraption she was wearing for a top fell down for the old double nip slip. And before you gentlemen wish you were there, not attractive. Looked kind of like a stuffed sausage in that outfit.

And my tailgating experience was not without indecent exposure of Hawk fans either. Went to visit a tailgate in those smaller grassy lots on 16th down the hill from Vet Med, where it looked like there was one porta potty bank for multiple lots. Hawk dude says **** the line and just whips it out and pees on a tree. Ironically he was wearing one of those "don't be a ****" shirts.

Lady behind me in section D row 2
Fran Drescher type voice made me ears bleed and knew NOTHING about football BUT provided her commentary on almost every play.

Two behind me, I was a little surprised that they appeared to have a full set of teeth and could speak in complete sentences. They were very impressed by our stadium and gameday atmosphere, said it was much better than iowa city, said kinnick was a dump compared to Jack Trice

It's one thing to call out some drunk loudmouth. It a whole different deal to bully some sixty year olds. It's called respect.

I have a few:

Clone fan right behind us did the LETSSSS GOOOO and GET HHHHIIIMMMMM yell in a high pitched scream every chance she could.

Married couple in front of us, husband was a hawk wife was a clone, totaled 500 lbs together and made out more often then a 7th grade couple hitting puberty.

50 some year old hawk fan was walking up at half and tripped over his own feet up the stairs and I caught him after he drilled his head on the bleachers...he gets up, shakes my hand and said 'shanks you'....One too many beers my man.

Standing in line for the bathroom at the half, a large woman tattooed an 80 year old guy behind me with her *** and people started yelling at her, I turned around and asked is he was alright and he proceeded to tell me story about a 'colored boy' that budged in front of him in line during tailgating and how there was almost a 'race war'....I didn't turn around again and prayed the line went quickly.

...Behind You
Met a Nebraska fan who was planning on traveling to Lincoln for their game but changed his mind because he got too tired and stopped in Ames since it was close.

He was drunk out of his mind when I met him. Praised the tailgaiting

I mistakenly call Bethard, Stanzi to the dude behind me. I did catch it though. I blame it on the thread that was comparing Bethard and Sam that Stanzi's name showed up in. Ban me if you want.

Way up there
I had a Hawk fan in front of me that kept asking his son why they weren't hitting Fiedoriwicz (sp) or Martin-Manly in the passing game (neither are on the team this year) and he gave credit to graduated Hawk LB James Morris for several tackles. He then preceded to talk about how the b1G was going to a 12 game conference schedule next season and that the big 12 should follow suit if they dont want to continue getting left out of the CFB playoff. The kicker is he was sober. As we were walking out he clapped right in the face of what I'd guess was a late 50-s early 60's aged couple and told them "Sorry about your bowl game"....pure class

My wife gave her ticket to our Hawkeye son in law. It was his first time in Ames. He said Hawk fans are treated WAY better in Ames than ISU fans are treated in IA City. Also praised the tailgating, stadium, and seating that is more than 10 inches per seat.

If you take a look at the replay. At the 18 yard line there was a block in the back that wasn't called. I don't know how they missed it. Defender is ready to make tackle and just a nudge in the back and he gets knocked off to the side. Just the two of them beside the offender. I don't like to complain about officiating but that occured at the point of attack.
I am a high school official and I certainly would have called it.
