This one is cheap, since it was me and my son. Frustrated in the 2nd half by the offense.

Me: "we could pick any eleven people out of our section and have a better offense than this"
Son: "or maybe ten"

Only time I smiled in whole 2nd half I think.

Not voices from the stands.....but sometimes at work it is a loose environment Friday afternoon.

A co-worker's 9-yr old son camein for a couple hours to hang out (no babysitter apparently) last Friday pm before the ISU-IA fb game.

the kid was wearing a Hawk jersey (dad is a community college grad)......and I'm working at a conference table with this high-strung kid wearing me out after 1/2 hour (he's on ADH meds)

I politely mention Iowa State and how they're going to win, and this kid is all thumbs-down and eventually telling a grown adult (me) and stranger how "Iowa State sucks" blah blah blah. A 3rd grader

1) I shouldn't have to babysit other kids at work
2) As a youth--I would never in a million years talk trash with an adult, especially w/a semi-stranger
3) Of course, the dad's claims his son is probably the best athlete in the city for his age (I'm serious)
4) Building false-confidence in a kid a mistake, allowing him to be cocky and rude......and his other kids also lack manners and social graces.
5) This is how the typical Hawk fan is created...at a young age

I weep for the future

And people wonder why I don't want kids. This is like written birth control.

You don't want kids because you're afraid your kid will become a bratty self-entitled Hawkeye fan? You realize that parenting has a little bit to do with outcomes, right?

To be fair a couple hours spent with Jambalaya would mess up anyone kid or adult.
To be fair a couple hours with you---with 27,789 posts on one message board...would most definitely put a parents' worries at ease. no creep factor there. no-sir-ree- bob

Clones fans behind me wanted Richardson pulled in the first half....2nd week in a row. Never mind that he tore it up in the air. They got ****** whenever he was sacked, despite completing like 87% of his passes. In the 2nd half when things went to ****, I didn't hear a word out of them. I guess he can miss the broad side of a barn all half, as long as he's not getting sacked or tripped up trying to get out of the pocket. ISU really didn't have the ball long enough in the 2nd half for him to get sacked though.
