lol, so Hines led the story with a complaint that the AD should have spent thousands of dollars so the players/coaches wouldn't have to kill maybe 3 hours before heading to the airport? And this is going national as the AD made them "sleep in a hotel ballroom"?
I think Hines probably had some legitimate points. But come the **** on. He deserves the bridges he burned on this.
JP just said Hines asked him the day he was gonig to publish it. AKA - story had been 99% written already.
Who knows...truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
And JP said what to him? Didn't correct any of it?JP just said Hines asked him the day he was gonig to publish it. AKA - story had been 99% written already.

Just said I didn't want to read through all 370 posts in the thread but whatever.Re read thread I and others called this story fishy from he beginning.

I sure hope there is more substance than just this to the story.
According to this article, from 2013.....JP was the third highest paid AD in the Big 12.......at slightly more than 250K.

yeah, and national reporters won't follow up on it. iowa state looks bad. hines looks worse now.
PS - pollard never actually said he wasn't jealous of hoiberg
They didn't spend a night in the ball room, the article states that they slept in the ball room for hours (whatever that means) I assume after check-out time and before they were coming back home to avoid being charged for another day of stay, which is not unreasonable at all. We are probably talking about a time frame after 10 or 11 AM check out.
Not sure what to think of the rest of the article. If true, Pollard has some things to work on. Seeing how the above situation was sensationalized by the author, I am having a harder time believing the rest of the article is 100% and not sensationalized.
