People are pointing out the obvious part about Thomas (his mental composure) and think it's magically going to be fixed and that he will be fine. Where is this assumption coming from? There are always going to be players that just don't live up to their potentially because they are not mentally composed enough. He has had a couple of really good games but will go back and play average at best the next night out. I hope he has gotten over his confidence problem but until I see it, I don't think he improves at all. In the early games when we play bad teams, it's a good chance to get him off the bench and let him fire up some shots. If he starts knocking them down, maybe he will start to improve but we can't just sit around and let him fire up shot after shot until he finally gets hot. That's just not how the game works. This will be a key season for him but I can't see him beating out another guard who shot 45% from downtown as a freshman unless he stays mentally composed out there and there's no evidence yet to prove he can.
