Same reason Warren was on the bench in HS and earlier this year didn't get carries. Some guys are gamers and some coaches like practice players. These guys may be gamers.

Lanning is just too limited, only 11/13 passing with 3 TD and 0 INT.

His physical presence and ability to run the ball like a fullback isn't enough to overcome those passing numbers.
