I am more worried about the foul calling, if ISU doesn't adjust and finds themselves in foul trouble early could be trouble.

Also I am meeting friends at the same spot where we watched the last ISU game (vs UAB).

That's kind of why Im nervous. Colorado has some great bigs, and since we dont have a ton of depth I hope the guys have a good understanding of the new touch foul rules. If not we could be in foul trouble early.

Who the Heck scheduled this game at this piece of crap location? Might as well play at the US Cellualar Center in Cedar Rapids. Twice the seating capacity. Simply move the HS Girls volleyball championships (going on this week at the US Cellular Center) to the Sanford Pentagon. It would make as much sense.

I think those rules will effect perimeter D a lot more than interior, assuming these guys are back to the basket big men and aren't real skilled on the perimeter.

You're the first person to question this. Congrats.

I broke my leg yesterday and plan on spending the entire day with my foot in the air and reading CF waiting for 4 pm to come.

YOU MUST ENTERTAIN ME.

I'm also assuming that this works both ways, not just against ISU, a team that under Fred Hoiberg was amazing at not fouling.

jbell71464 is the best kind of CF'er - he opened a brewery a mile away from my house. Today is my last day at this job and and I'm leaving early. I'll be heading over to Living the Dream Brewing to watch the game.

LET'S GO CYCLONES!!!

This is great to know! I am in FC but work out of Englewood often. If there is a fellow Cyclone that has opened a brewery in CO, I am all over it!

I am setup for the greatest nut kick of all time today, and I don't give a damn!

I am having a hard time tempering my expectations at all for this year, I think we are in for something special. This may be the longest day of my life. Why couldn't this game have started at 7 AM?

Hopefully there aren't as many fouls as the exhibition game. I would much rather watch made 3s and dunks, but hey that's just me. I think some of the rule changes are good (shot clock) but hopefully during conference or a few games into non-conference play refs stop calling all of the ticky-tack fouls. It seems like early in the years past they always call them and towards the end of the year they don't, but with the big emphasis on NO hand checking this year I'm going to be a little an upset when they are calling them during big physical conference or post-season games. It just kills the flow of the game.

I think there will be more fouls than the exhibition. I think we got off lightly due to the opponent. I think they will call them really tough throughout the non-conference and force teams to adjust away from physical play.

I think you are correct. There will be more fouls than last Friday. There were more fouls called last Friday than normal but, I didn't think it was ultra tight. I think it will be ultra tight tonight and for the first couple months of the season.

They tried to do this about 2 years ago and I think they will be even tighter than that. They will FORCE teams to adjust to it. I don't think it's going away this time........

Our guys ability to not foul and stay in the game will decide this game and that has me concerned.......

The idea of eliminating the hand checks is to improve the flow of the game not kill it. If they keep calling them, players will stop, or they will foul out.

Yep. Eventually the players will adjust and there will be just as many fouls per game as usually with the added benefit of higher scoring games.

It's one thing to question the location of the game, but it's much worse to promote the idea of playing at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids. Cedar Rapids. Cedar Rapids? Cedar Rapids?!?! Talk about a life-sucking force.
