Mark Farley has had more success at the FCS level than Bob Stitt...Granted he's only been there two years. He brings some radical ideas, but he has absolutely zero experience in recruiting a Division 1 player. ISU fans need to get over this infatuation. If he ends up in Ames, prepare for 5+ more years of disappointment.I love the idea of Bob Stitt bringing his offensive concepts to FBS.
But I'm not sure Bob believes that.
When you watch the video that CW posted on the link, you get the sense the Stitt really loves the idea of being the big fish in the small pond.
I could be wrong, and actually hope I am.

IMO, if ISU wants to take a step "to the next level" as Pollard puts it, they need to look above the FCS level. Stitt may have some great ideas, but he's never coached at the FBS level in any capacity. ISU needs to look outside of the box, but should not look toward the FCS box.A look at his Montana staff is almost all holdovers from the previous staff, Montana alumni, and a couple guys from CSoM that came along with Stitt. He compares the Montana job to Nebraska, in terms of tradition and the fact that there is no competition for attention, saying that FCS job was probably better than half the jobs in the bowl division.
Just the way I read it.

No to Stitt, recruiting is critical if he is hired I will be disappointed.
Chris Kleiman would be a better fit IMO. Runs a pro style offense...puts players in the NFL...might be the best developer of low grade talent in the country.
WTS..think I'm more intrigued by Fritz, Brohm, Frost.
This is his 2nd year as hc I believe. Not sure how many guys he has put in the nfl.
I have no doubt Stitt is a offensive guru. Honestly we'd prob lose to Montana this year given Wally 15 yd cushions and what Stitt would do with that...however my concern is recruiting...it's the most important factor in thi
