It is possible to interview with multiple teams, and not choose the last one you interviewed with. And to get the teams to raise their bid.

Jeremy comes on here with insight and people criticize him. It's a crazy world.

If I am Jamie right now I think about where Mizzou comes in, prepare to beat it or find a coach at the level of salary Leath just approved. Work the comp range JP.

Here's the thing. Iowa State could come in at a higher offer than Missouri and a coach might take the Missouri job anyway. Shocking.

How many of you ****ers on here were bemoaning Campbell as our choice then probably switched when you heard Mizzou wants him? Oh **** an SEC team wants him (it is Mizzou though not LSU), grab your pitchforks & make way for Pollard's

I'm hearing it's possible that Campbell's people leaked the 48 hour thing potentially to have time to leverage Missouri into an offer.

Stay tuned.

Not trying to be a **** but didn't you say earlier today that he wasn't an option for Mizzou or something along those lines?

Dump gf.

Identify 5 gals to replace her. Set up dates with them. First date goes great. You like her. She seems to like you. She's everything you want in a chick. She's got all those morals and values you want. She's even clean cut. She agrees to be your new gal. You tell her your're a tough guy. You don't want to be her second choice, because you're just that hot.

You cancel other dates and tell those girls to take a walk. You've found your girl.

Then phone rings. She tells you she found someone else.

Now you wonder if you should call those other girls with whom you cancelled dates. And settle for your second choice.

Or do you hope that chick who promised to be with you gets dumped by that other guy, and comes back to you. And you thus settle for being her second choice.

At this rate we'll be picking up a coach on a local corner.

Just have to hope at this point that JP hasn't ruined our chances with some of the other candidates. Not sure how some might take it that they aren't the 1st choice.

How many times now has JP screwed up and not gotten his 1st choice in coaching searches? He needs to hire a "negotiator" to go into these interviews with him. He obviously is a lightweight and gets used and abused each and every time it seems.

I think I'd take a pass on Campbell too at this point. But it's going to be a big PR hit on JP once again in the media circles. Once again he thought he landed his #1 target, only to screw up the negotiations and let him off the hook. And whoever does take the job now knows he wasn't the one we really wanted. Just great.

Eh, the worse part in this is if we cancelled interviews without it actually being a done deal.

Do we really know that we landed him? At this point, all we really know is he interviewed. Campbell's people have a reason to want the idea to leak that Iowa State had offered and he was going to take it. Got to remember the agendas of the people involved.

Asking coaches to keep these meetings and ISU job offers secret is simply not realistic in a world where coaches can make more money by not keeping these meetings and job offers secret.

It's funny how some people just assume Pollard screwed this up when we really don't know Jack yet. He very well may have but it's still funny how people are so damn sure

Can't blame Pollard for Campbell using this as leverage, but can blame him for cancelling other interviews.
