Starting to feel a lot better about next year if we can keep Monte.

Morris
Thomas
Cooke
Carter/Ernst
Malou

Based on senior classman, I'd go with the following. Haven't seen enough out of Earnst or Carter to believe they will unseat them.

Morris or Jackson
Cooke
Thomas
Burton
Malou

Or, you could have Burton at 3, Malou at 4, and Carter or Earnst at 5. Would require a lot of growing up.

No way Burton starts at 4. Burton and Malou are both SF's but Malou can probably start at 4.

Agree, as long as we get someone else for the 5 spot. Earnst and Carter just don't look ready. I'm going off of the potential we don't get goodluck.

I don't think it matters who we get at the 5. Burton won't be a starting 4. Think of Burton like Wayne Selden.

After seeing how much love and appreciation prom gives seniors, I don't see anyway Thomas doesn't start next year at the 2 , and highly probable Burton starts at the 3. Cooke slides over to 6th man I think.

At the college level Malou is basically a 4. He's even played some center. If he ends up playing in the NBA he'd probably be a 3.

Hopefully we have some "Goodluck"

Are there rumors this kid is transferring from UNLV? I don't remember us recruiting him out of HS. He's a great player though would love to have him.

Edit: Just saw he is leaving UNLV. Hopefully we have some kind of connection. Got to think we could sell the fact he'd be a starter right away for a top ten program.

He was listed on signing day as a guard, but I agree with you. He'll be fine at 4 as a starter.

I honestly thought Matt was really good on defense last year, so that doesn't surprise me in the least.

Nader is really shining so far and it is fun to see.

Me too. Thomas has always had quick hands, slapping balls away leading to turnovers/steals. He does seem to have improved his footwork and technique in keeping up with players on drives though. And his rebounding (which was also decent in the past) also looks improved.

So being critical of Thomas's play the last 2 seasons makes you an *******?
I think any fan with a lick of sense would admit he struggled most of the last two seasons but is really looking good this season so far.
Being critical doesn't equate to being an *** but there were some ***** who were critical.
