Not exactly sure.
Way to prove my point, Johnny. Keep up the good work!

Little brother is when you go to your brothers house or call them up and tell them that they should respect you and state your point. I don't demand respect from others, I don't care if they do or don't. That is the sign of being grown up. Not complaining that other might say something that you don't like.

Havent been on on a hawk board, don't need to.

This thread is Exhibit A to why Iowa State is referred to as little brother. There is so much animosity and discontent towards Iowa it is a little sickening. Not to mention there is a real segment of the Iowa State fan base that actually thinks there is a conspiracy in place by officials and the powers that be to screw Iowa State at every turn. A somewhat sizeable portion of Iowa's fan base may be guilty of the things you attribute to them (in reality, most State fans only know one or two Iowa fans who fit the "Tavern Hok" stereotype), but Iowa State's fan base has its share of flaws, too (for instance, I have never seen a fan base that whines as much).

Yet you are over here...on our forums.

It baffles me that people are STILL bashing Iowa. With that loss they proved a ton that many were skeptical all season about. Schedule blah blah. If being undefeated was such a easy feat then everyone would be doing it. 12-0 is something that we dream of and the majority of us would take it with any type of schedule. I'm giving credit where it's due, congratulations to a fine season to the Hawkeyes. They played their tails off Saturday night and proved that they belong. Well done. Iowa and ISU are going two different directions. Unfortunately, we're spiraling down the pooper.

To be fair most P5 football programs don't get the opportunity to play a schedule as weak as Iowa's

Good grief, another poser.

I think I've had the correct level of respect for Iowa over the last 5 weeks or so.

- 2nd or 3rd best team in the B1G
- Deserving of Rose Bowl
- Top 15 team in country
- Good enough to finished tied for 2nd-4th in B12 this year.

FWIW, I'm not saying that Iowa State bball is anything better than Top 15 right now, either.

See the post above as true little brother syndrome. Posting on an ISU message board about not getting any respect for beating terrible teams all year.

Little brother it's okay. You see we know what top quality teams look like. We play them.

Hawk fans aren't very smart.

I'm not sure that that one game really proves anything. Michigan State played 8 of their 13 games this season within one touchdown of their opponent. A telling statistic in itself even if you leave the fact off that half of those were against Western Michigan, Purdue, Rutgers, and a loss to Nebraska. Creeping by awful teams is commonplace for Michigan State.

Iowa had good season but unless they show in the bowl game that they are better than Stanford I just don't see the evidence supporting that they are a top 10 team.

By the looks of it... I seriously think it would hurt some of these folks. Instead they'd rather make themselves look like idiots apparently.

True. It's funny to see so many here try to manipulate data until, in their heads, Iowa looks bad. It's not working. They're good, and could be better next year.

I will admit, though, that I wasn't sold on them until the Nebraska and MSU games. Haven't seen a harder hitting team than that in some time.

Congrats to Iowa. You have football, we have basketball. Fair?
