That fathead Andy Garman was grinning from ear o ear with the news about Naz. Goodman just desperate for any kind of attention.

Fraschilla has got our back.

Why do so many think ISU is going to be bad next year? Even if Morris leaves, we will still have Jackson, Naz, Cooke, Thomas, Babb, Ashton, Burton, Carter, Ernst, Malou, Young and whoever else.

That's a pretty decent team IMO. We'll be a tournament team next season. Goodman is a moron Hawk fan.

Obviously its the Carter, Ernst, Young, Babb, Malou, Jackson part of your list that has most concerned. None will have played any big12 level basketball. Thats a lot of big ifs. Goodman still shouldn't have tweeted it though.

Husband fell asleep with TV on channel 8 10:00 news. So when I came up from doing a load of laundry, there Garman was smiling like a Cheshire cat while reporting Naz's redshirt plan. Was wishing I was still loading sweaty basketball practice clothes in the washer in the basement when I saw that turd on my TV.

Why do people take everything negative, questionable, or speculative about their team so personal?

And once you starting hating on people, they will only poke the dragon even more. See Colin Cowherd and Iowa fans.

Because it makes us cheer louder and take more pride in our team.

Because it makes players play with a chip on their shoulder wanting to prove the naysayers wrong (see the quoted tweets earlier in thread)

I feel like if the situation was different you wouldn't have seen as much of a reaction. The problem was the combination of things that he said. Even Fran called him out on it.

It's just another "I said it first" thing where he's throwing something on the wall and hoping something sticks so he can go back and point out to everyone that he was the first to say it. Is it a possibility? Certainly just like Monte is a possibility to go to the NBA too but until those guys say or do anything like any current Cyclone player our fans are going to support them and show them why they we appreciate them. I can see it both ways for Naz, I would think given the strong leader he is and everything he has done at ISU he would want to stay and be the leader on the team with a lot of new guys coming in to help with the transistion and leave ISU basketball in a good spot after he's gone. Then again I can see the other side of that too how he could transfer to a team built to make a run in the tourney and he'd be the final piece for that team.

Maybe I just have blind faith that Naz loves ISU so much that leaving isn't even an option he is considering but as we all know when it comes to ISU athletics always have that nutcup nearby because nothing is ever as easy as it may seem.

And it makes some people tweet and say things that make our fan base look stupid. Just because someone says something negative or speculates about Iowa State doesn't mean they are a hater (jeez, Niang and Jeff Goodman tweet each other a lot).

You didn't name any new people on that list that will even remotely make up for the losses of Niang, McKay, Nader and probably Morris. Morris would be INSANE to return to school next year. His draft stock won't ever get any higher than it will be after this season.

Fran didn't say he was wrong, just that he was foolish for poking the ISU fans in the eye with a stick.

That doesn't mean we're going to be "bad", which is what ISUTex referenced in his post. Most people can't mentally configure being "worse" vs. being "bad" so I'll forgive you.

To be fair Goodman constantly tweets with Georges and has been a fan of ours for several years, so I think this is a bit of an overreaction

I agree its an overreaction, but it doesn't change the fact he is being a tremendous ****.

Because I was curious I went to their website and watched the video..I think you may be overreacting a touch.
