So playing in November and December is better then sitting out til January and February? Or was his plan the whole time to get the red shirt

No idea what the entire thought process was. My assumption is that he wanted to play the whole season, and thought he could power through it on sheer willpower. I would also assume that he thought it was important to play while we were short handed without Burton.

This was all a part of the plan Naz laid out when Naz realized the 2015/16 team was so loaded they could still do major damage in the tournament without him. That's when he decided the 2016/17 Cyclones needed saved more than this year's team does, so he sacrificed himself for this season to come back and get next year's team to the dance. In a few months when he's had some time to rest and do more rehab on those hips, I could see him holding a press conference and looking straight at Goodman.

'BEHOLD JEFF GOODMAN and all other media doubters, I AM THREESUS. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil sports media members. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and Hilton Magic, shepherds the weak through the valley of the Big 12 Conference, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of corner three balls. And Threesus of Nazareth will rain down upon thee with great vengeance and furious 30-footers those who attempt to doubt me and my Cyclone brothers. And you will know I am the Threesus when I rain down threes upon you."

"Now...Jeff....I been sayin' that **** for years. And if you ever heard it, that meant your *****. You'd be fired right now. I never gave much thought to what it meant. I just thought it was a cold-blooded thing to say to a MFer before I popped a three in his face. But I saw some **** this mornin' made me think twice. See, now I'm thinking: maybe it means you're the evil sports media member. And I'm the righteous man. And this basketball here...it's the shepherd protecting my righteous ***** in the valley of the Big 12 Conference. Or it could mean you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. And I'd like that. But that **** ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil sports media members. But I'm tryin', Jeff, I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd."

Here nor there
He could have told Goodman to suck a fat one, but what he said is probably better.

We love you Naz.
Goodman is somewhat excusable. He is a national guy that benefits from stirring the pot and making it more of a national story. Naz is really telling fans like jsb to suck a fat one. She was downright insulting to a guy like Naz.
