I imagine Thomas and Grandstaff must be choosing their new schools immediately, correct? That would allow them to enroll 2nd semester and play next year (see Burton).

Thought there wasn't any scholarships left. Guess if we assume Monte and Ashton leave.

Base on guard heavy we'll simply see three guards, plus Burton at 4 and Malou at 5.

Somewhere in the U.S.
A little surprised they are not pursuing him because he did seem like a good fit, but there could be a lot of reasons that the staff is not really interested.

Might be something more in his background we don't know about. Maybe the staff feels that a mid-season transfer is not what is needed now.....it would seem another big is needed from the start of next year. Maybe there is someone else on their radar that they feel good about who could play the full year next season. We just have to be patient and trust the staff at this point.

Look I get he's young and all, but not sure Grandstaff knows what he wants. Remember, he was ecstatic about committing to Okie State, right after his visit, cancelling ours (at least I thought at the time it was said he was coming for a visit- Custer friend). He then decommitted, then chose Ohio State right after their visit and cancelled the rest. Will be interesting where him & his Dad end up this time.

Why is everyone so fixated on Ashton's scholarship? He only got one this year because we had two unused. He is a walk-on. You don't use a scholarship on a senior walk-on that doesn't play if there are talented transfers that you can get.

When Prohm was asked if it was a two year scholarship or a one year thing and he said they would reevaluate and the end of the season that answered the question that he would not be on scholarship next season.

I see. Can we hand out a scholarship if we can't be sure about Morris or maybe Lard?

Yes, we'll make it work regardless. Scholarships always work themselves out and even when they don't you still make it work for the right guy (see Kane/Amardi)

There's one open right now, so if they do find someone wanting to transfer during semester break, there will be a scholarship available for next semester.

Yeah, we can offer a thousand different scholarships if we want. We can only have a select number that actually receive them.

And I'm in wait and see about the making it work thing. Prohm doesn't seem as cut throat about that as Fred was, but we'll see. I don't think he's had to deal with that decision yet (that I'm aware of).
