They are playing pretty good lately.
next week they need to get some yards from AP and can not let Teddy get sacked like the last time they played.
Tough game at Lambeau next week. Any guesses on the outcome?

I don't care how we end up I just want to play Washington, not GB or Seattle in the playoffs.

Wouldn't we have to lose the division to play Washington, since they won their division?

I could be wrong, but I thought that the lower seeded division winners host the wild cards.

I think you're right.

I suppose I'd rather have a home game, I just have bad memories of the last time Seattle came to town.

Vikings and Seattle have to lose for Vikings to go to Washington. I think the following are how it plays out.

Vikings win:
Host Seattle (3 seed)

Vikings lose:
Go back to Green Bay if Seattle wins (6 seed)
Go to Washington if Seattle loses (5 seed)

I dont think anyone wants to play Arizona right now.

Agreed - I'd rather play Carolina than Arizona. Though the Vikes were a botched last play of the game from tying AZ in Phoenix a few weeks back. Who knows. Just get in the playoffs and try to get hot. Recent history has had 5 and 6 seeds win the whole thing.

Vikings are in a similar boat to the Chiefs right now. Do you want to win the Division and host a good Wild Card team, or do you want to get the top Wild Card and play at a bad Division winner?

For the Chiefs, if they win the Division, they are likely hosting Pittsburgh (I think Pittsburgh wins and Jets lose next weekend), or they go to Houston as the top Wild Card. For the Vikings, if they win the Division, they are likely hosting Green Bay (I think Seattle loses to Arizona), or they go to Washington as the top Wild Card.

Regardless, I think both teams want to win the Division and go from there, but not winning the Division is not a bad thing at all...

You have the scenarios correct but I don't see the Jets losing to the Bills next week.

But I would much rather HOST a playoff game no matter who they are playing (Vikes or Chiefs).

Skol Vikes. I thought yesterday was a long day waiting for the game, next Sunday is going to be a whole different story.

Testifying
I wouldn't want anything to do with playing Arizona at all in the playoffs. When Ariens got that personal foul after the pass interference call, all while being up by like 30 pts, I knew this team is going to step on some throats. He has them playing very, very well.

Very pleased with how this season is turning out. I think most realists were just hoping for a wildcard birth. To have a chance to win the division is definitely YYYYUGE!

My only complaint with yesterday's game was the lack of time the Vikes put it in the endzone and had to settle for FGs. That said, I'm somewhat chalking that up to conservative play calling (and decisions by Bridgewater) given the comfortable lead and defense playing so well. No need to take too many chances in these scenarios.

Goals met/to meet this year:

Make playoffs: check
Division title: one year ahead of schedule, but please pass the gravy boat!
Playoff win(s): more gravy please!!

By no means wishing away the rest of this year, but wow....how nice does next year set up with high expectations and a new stadium?!?!?

I was disappointed to see Mike Zimmer leave my Bengals 2 years ago, but I knew it was time and he was ready. I also knew whoever got him would be very pleased.

I'm not a Vikings fan but I root for them solely because of Zim. Great coach, great guy who went through some really rough times when his wife died suddenly a few years ago.

Minnesota got a good one. My pipe dream is a Cincinnati -Minnesota super bowl.

After Week 6, the Broncos were 6-0 and the Chiefs were 1-5. Once team has clinched the playoffs, and the other still has a scenario where they get left out. Funny thing is, that there is a scenario where the Broncos get the #1 seed, and there is a scenario where they dont even get a playoff spot.
