We are 11-1 heading into conference play. I thought we would drop 2 at this point so I we are doing fine! Take the win! Win the day!

Cooke needs to just play within his game and that is hustle, play D and hit an open 3...2-3 times a game. That's all we need him to do. He's thinking waaaay too much about his shot. Happens. I really didn't expect Burton to hit threes honestly. He's coming along nicely.

As for the Carter being a project. Haven't seen enough to say that honestly. It's instinct to dribble in post...McKay does it when he shouldn't. I thought Carter played pretty well considering we haven't played him. Too late now. I really think he could have provided a few minutes a game inside had we played him more earlier.

Well look at it this way: How would you like to be Coppin State? Your team absolutely shoots out of their minds, probably better than they will do again and you still lose by 20.

The 2015-2016 ISU basketball season starts in March 2016. The amount of ISU fans that don't get that is astounding.

This is sadly partly true. How this season is remembered depends solely on how far this team goes in the tourney. Of course, it's easier to go further if you're a 1/2 seed.

With 11 minutes to play in the game:

"I'm excited to see the bench play."

(Watches bench play)

"Never mind."

My main takeaways from the game:
• Deonte Burton could win the Big 12's Sixth Man award this year.
• Hallice is really struggling lately, which is exactly what we cannot afford going into Norman.

We are the worst 3 point defensive team in the history of college basketball.

Agree, but most of the problem is because our opponents make too many 3 pointers. I'm confident we will improve once they miss more 3 point shots. To quote former Men's Warehouse spokesman George Zimmer, "I guarantee it" and "you're gonna like the way we look", or something like that.

Carter has a ways to go but his length and athleticism is legit. If he weren't a liablity on defense he'd be playing more bc offensively he appears to be decent. I think getting the minutes he did tonight was great, too bad we couldn't have gotten him that much time in any other game. I don't think he'll play unless we have foul trouble but after seeing him for extended minutes, I feel a bit better about those situations.

Some of you don't get it. When all a team does is set screens out top and shoot 23-27 foot threes and shooters are hot it doesn't matter what team u play for or what division...there's not a lot u can do when 2-3 guys just are in rythym and feeling it. Game really should have been a 40-50 pt blow out but when u lose interest and the other team can't miss threes it stays closer than it should.

I get it. Thought we could practice defending the 3. Didn't happen. This team is not capable of defending threes. Haven't been able to do it for years now.
