Took a close look last night. The Iowa State court is compliant with the 3 feet of space outside the boundary lines. Even with the video ad boards, there is plenty of room. In fact, our tables and video ad boards don't even extend over the wood of the court. If they took out folding chairs and tables, they could probably meet the ideal 10 feet of space.

Well that's because you have the floor sitting out there all on it's own. It looks like the old KU football field with a big track around it. You could fit your band down along the sidelines with all that dead space.

That's it everyone. All hail everything KU.

I already know Allen Fieldhouse is walking a fine line on being unsafe for occupancy. Violation of NCAA rules is chump change in comparison.
Now we're going with a violation of the FIRE CODE?!? How much more pathetic can this possibly get? I heard one of the ushers might not have washed their hands after going to the bathroom. Maybe KU should probably forfeit the game due to public safety concerns.

You should email Pollard, let him know how amateur Iowa St is.

A relative works for the engineering/architectural firm that evaluated the structural stability of AFH a few years ago.

His quote: "One more loose bolt up there & I could have been the ISU grad who condemned Allen Fieldhouse." I can't believe he didn't jump on that. The ISU structural engineer who shut down The House of Boooooo? He would be Marv Seiler, Lafester Rhodes & George Washington Carver all rolled into one. He could eat & drink free in Ames until The End Times.

Not exactly sure.
This was proven wrong last night. A texas tech player ran the baseline and when out of bounds to aviod a Cyclone defender and then received a pass once he was back inbounds. Whistle by the refs and a turnover. ISU ball.

Holly rowe smitten, what do you say about this. Either you were wrong about your statement on the picture being after the inbounds or your wrong that it was not illegally touched. Painted yourself into a corner there. Which is it?

Probably already mentioned, but I believe if Hield had simply 'let' Mason's hand hit the ball behind the plane it would have been a technical. If he'd lost the ball that way they'd have to call it. Right?

They should anyway. I think if Hield had to do it over, he would have done this, but he was trying to make a play. He also had a couple silly turnovers late in the game, that I'm sure he'd like to have back.

Nah, he probably would have been called for a five second rule violation while jacking around and KU would be given the ball....

It would have taken an incredible amount of boldness and alertness to do that when he is so focused on getting the ball in bounds. It would have had to happen almost intuitively or incidentally. And the ref probably would have made the 5 second call anyway. After all, the game was at AFH.

Agreed. It's not "simple" as someone stated. Rather, you are taking a HUGE risk on a low percentage play when the highest percentage play is to simply get the ball in clean and go for the shot.

The real question is will Kansas win on their own Saturday in Lubbock or will they have to cheat again?
