According to Holly Rowe, Hilton was at 108 decibels last night. KU the loudest this year at 113 decibels. Sounds like a challenge for next Monday...

She must have been sitting on the db meter. It was pretty loud last night!

Not exactly sure.
Don't mention holly Rowe. Tuco has a thing for her, check his avatar, and this will attract him to the thread.

Speaking of KU, I see the Mason Play reared it's ugly head last night. Guess they won't be getting away with that one anymore!

But Hield on Niang looked like Mason on Hield. So there's that.

It sounded to me as if the crowd could have been louder and perhaps even more intimidating. Could have been that:
- ESPN gimmicked the mikes or their positions so that the announcers could be heard more easily and clearly,
- The crowd wasn't as worried about the team's ability to keep control of the game, or
- Oklahoma (basketball at least) doesn't bring out the vitriol. Bring on Kansas!

Option 4: old people not cheering loud enough? :jimlad:

I hope we do it next week!!

Looking like KU will only be #2 as UNC only plays Wake Forest and will likely move to #1.

Wouldn't surprise me if ESPN moved or turned microphones wayyy down after the Baylor? game micrphone(s) caught the one angry fan swearing all the time.

The crowd was great. But a lot more empty seats than we've had recently for sold out games. It's those fans loss for missing last night!

At KU they blast music over the sound system. During the OU/KU game, when the announcers were commenting how loud the sound was during that one time out, on TV anyway, it seemed like a good deal of the noise was blaring from the sound system.

Well, wasn't that 108 measured with a lot of time left in the game? If I remember correctly, she said the KU vs. OU db level was measured at the end of the game. I'd be interested in hearing how loud it actually was in the last minute or so of that game as we took the lead for good.

Absolutely. Amplifiers are effective means of amplifying.

My wife got mad at me for yelling and slamming the coffee table after Matt made the 3 that gave us the 10-point lead. The dog jumped up and started barking, too. Just trying to do my part............
