Nice watching Self talk about getting beat. I could watch that over and over.
Anybody notice him stick his hand in his armpit. Then wipe his hand on his sleeve..... later runs his fingers under his nose.
Almost as cool as picking his nose..
I hate that *******. He's a great coach. But he's still a *******.
Last night was the first time I can remember one of Self's teams actually giving up. We may beat Kansas, but we don't pull away from them at the end. I thought the Chickenhawks looked beaten long before the end, and their play showed it. Maybe the Kansas mystique (sorry, threw up in my mouth there a little) is starting to disappear.
Heh, heh.
I think they mentioned that ISU has taken the last 4 of 5 from KU and that no one in conference has ever done that to a Bill Self coached KU team. If true, that little nugget may be lurking in the back of some of the KU players minds when ISU started making their run like "oh no, here we go again".Last night was the first time I can remember one of Self's teams actually giving up. Not a popular opinion, but I still like Self. He can be an ***, but for the most part, he gives credit where credit is due, and calls it like it is.
I doubt the players even know that. I assume any KU players saying "oh, no here we go again" would be based on knowing that they have been struggling to finish games of late and that ISU is a good team.I think they mentioned that ISU has taken the last 4 of 5 from KU and that no one in conference has ever done that to a Bill Self coached KU team. When your goto guy is 39 year old Perry since Frank had 7 turnovers and Wayne went 1 for 7 on threes, you are probably doomed against a good offense.Last night was the first time I can remember one of Self's teams actually giving up. I think he's a great coach and a good sport with opposing fans and media. Although i just want Georges to be the one that dethrones KU, maybe ISU and OU can split the title. Buddy Hield deserves a slice of the KU tear pie.
