I'll take his latest comments and apology as a big step. No problem with him being on social media if he uses it appropriately- and he has for all but 2 months of his time here. Get on board, move on, and kick some ***.

That's great and all, but his *** needs to be coming off the bench for the next few games. Can't just go back to normal as if nothing happened. Don't know if he would handle that well, and honestly don't care at this point. He should be on a "final chance" type of situation.

Well said. Jameel seems like an emotional guy and he didn't handle the frustration of his injury and the other stresses going on in his life very well. I imagine there's times a lot of us haven't, especially at his age. Sounds like he's learning from it, apologized, and wants to make the best of the situation. If his meeting with CSP goes well he can become a big asset to our team and hopefully he's physically able to return to the kind of player he was last year.

He didn't even play in the last game. That was the punishment. Start being a fan and stop trying to be the coach.

I agree with a softer version of what GTO said. Coming off the bench for a few might show sincerity and give him the chance to get back to last year's version of Mckay.

The apology is nice, and I hope he did that on his own. His actions now on and off the court will say a lot more. It would have been nice to see a tweet after the game yesterday congratulating the team on the win, but maybe that is expecting to much.

Only time will tell what happens here, but honestly I don't remember a lot of these types of situations working out very well.

Time to analyze his apology. EXPERTS ASSEMBLE!!!!

Unless it's some indirect evasive apology like "i am sorry that everybody was mad with me", I tend to give people the benefit of doubt when it comes to 1st apologies

I totally agree with GTO and I've got a feeling coach does too. Missing one game won't be enough. He needs to earn back the respect he lost by being humble and working hard.

I maintain that McKay owes me nothing.

But he owes his teammates and coaches something and only they can decide if he is really sorry.
