They beat Wichita State at their place to end the longest home court winning streak in the country. It's true that Wichita State isn't as tough as they've been in recent years, but boy can UNI defend and rebound. They've got their mojo back.

It's hard to look at a Jacobson team and say that they are fundamentally weak. Guy can coach a well-rounded team, there's not doubt.

They've been playing better lately, except now they're perhaps figuring out how to win on the road too.

Wichita State lost most of those games with Van Fleet out or injured. From what I know, they were at full strength for this last game with UNI.

Too bad UNI really s**t the bed in January. Hope they keep winning and can climb into the RPI top 100 though to help ISU.

Their on like a 6 or 7 game win streak right now...

They are also 16-11 and 8-6 in the MVC. Not even in the bubble discussion with 3 very good wins. All of those wins besides Wichita St. and Evansville were against bad to terrible competition.

And they've played a lot of ****** teams during that streak.

UNI is fine and Ben Jacobson is a good coach. But this year is not his best coaching job despite beating Wichita State.

They have about 4 really bad losses that will keep them out of the Tourney, barring a championship in St Louis. Just way too inconsistent this season.

8-6 conference record good enough for 5th in the MVC in his 10th year as head coach?

Man, there is this other coach 6-5 in the best conference in the country in his 1st year.

(coach 1 beat coach 2, I know. But I'll take coach 2 any friggin day)

Considering Coach 1 could only get his team up for the big games and couldn't get them to play well against ****** teams, I'm not sure why you would ask this question. Just saying.
