You might consider the fact that my observations come from someone who doesn't mind having a drink or two, but who absolutely HATES being drunk. I don't like not being able to control my thoughts/actions, etc.

BTW - painkillers & partying can be a recipe for disaster (painkillers don't mix with driving or drinking). I wouldn't advise trying that again.

When I had surgery for my colon tumor a while back, I made this mistake. I was taken pain meds for a couple weeks (along with several other pills) and got invited to a party without thinking about the meds. That screwed me up big time. Never again.

Sorry I should have said that I wasn't drinking that night, just went to a Halloween costume party.

Boxsters Pre-vacation Law is in ******* full effect. Went to add soap to the little under counter dispenser by the kitchen sink and there's water everywhere. ****. Something always breaks just before I leave. ****. At least it's not backed up sewage in basement like the morning of departure disaster a few years back.

Dammit Jim, I am a doctor not a plumber!

BTW, I can't believe the volume of stuff that was under the counter. All wet of course. ****.

I guess, at least, it's lucky you didn't notice it when you got back. That would have been a long time to go with water under there. Hopefully it's something pretty simple like a leaky ice maker line or easy to get to gasket.

I thought it was super cool my great grandma was born in the 1800's and I just realized that that'll be me with my great grandkids being born in 96

To defeat Boxster On-vacation Law I always shut my water off.

Getting ready to reassemble. Wish me luck. I think it was mostly the garbage disposal sink fitting that vibrated loose. Been loose for awhile based on the rusty parts. Been sanding and Dremeling the rust off them.

Also, the recipe I posted makes a lot of dumplings. It was around 30 dumplings.

Super cool secret: you don't need to use those supermarket dumpling wrappers that have probably been sitting on the shelf for a decade or visit one of those scary Asian groceries if you've got a craving for wontons or pierogies...you can make your own wrappers very easily with an egg, water, salt, and flour. Just beat an egg with a half cup of water and a dash of salt, and stir in a couple cups of flour. Knead and roll it out thin, cut it into squares, fill with deliciousness, and fry it up. Voila!

I guess it could be worse. Still sounds like a tedious and messy fix.
