Dairy Queen is the slowest "fast food" restaurant ever

At least you end up with a blizzard when you're done. If not, I question your motive for going to a DQ.

I know it's franchise related, but some of the Burger Kings I've been to have been much worse. I was at one in Rockford, IL for nearly 15 minutes before I admitted to myself how stupid it was that I was waiting at a Burger King for 15 minutes, and left without my food.

Guess that makes the sub a glorified babysitter and you students....?

Unless the teacher is lucky enough to get a sub with a background in the subject this is accurate. The subs are more or less well paid wardens making sure the inmates don't go crazy. Good subs are also a dime a dozen. I remember one that always brought crosswords or something for us to do after and if we completed them and brought them back to her the next time she was in the school she would give us a sucker.

My wife's grandfather was a HS science teacher for 40 years and now subs. He quite often will get long term assignments because of his background. It is also interesting to hear the differences in how schools handle their subs. One CR HS makes the subs stay until like 4 or something like that if they want to get their full pay. So they sit around and do nothing wasting their time.

I'll do it for you...

7:00am - 8:00am: wake up, shower eat breakfast
8:00am - 4:00pm: go to school, pay little attention, share banal observations on CF
4:00am - 11:00pm: do hoodrat stuff with your friends
11:00pm - 7:00am: sleep
Actually I work from 5-9 and not going to school tomorrow so who knows how late I'll stay up

Woot! Woot!

Dammit Jim, I am a plumber!

Edit: And one more thing Pants and 55 won't have to deal with after I die in Mexico and they move into my digs.

I don't think that means what you think it does.

So he's doing hoodrat stuff before he ever wakes up?

Ooooh, day is treading back upward!

1. Successful plumbing intervention.

2. Email from timeshare owner that he might be able to rent the unit I rented and can't use to another party as he just got an inquiry. If he can he'll refund my money!
3. And Dr. Niece just posted on Facebook that I have a new grandniece! :jiggy:
