I picked 5-6 but I think 5 is our ceiling. I would pick 4-5 if it was an option. If it's 4 wins and two or three close ones in Big XII, I call it a success.

Not blowing a 17 point lead in 4 minutes would be a good start.

Seriously though, just want to see improvement over last year. Would love to make a bowl game, but I just want to be more competitive.

I'm gonna go with the belief that this staff can piece together a serviceable OL. If they can do that we've got talent elsewhere. With a competent coaching staff I have to believe we can make a run at a bowl. Of course, I'm discounting the coaching transition impact when I make that statement. I just don't think these guys will **** games down their leg.

We should be bowling. Another 3-4 win season would be a disappointment. CPR badly underachieved to only win 3 games or less the past two seasons.

I voted for improvement. The good news is improvement should get us bowling, as we were mismanagement away from bowling last year.

I don't think you can judge everything just by how many wins we get, but since that's the name of the game, I'm going to say we need to see a minimum of 4 wins.

However, I won't be pleased if we only win 4 games and we lose a couple close ones that we had no business losing. I don't want to see any KSU games this year where all we have to do is kneel down and we basically win the game, and we somehow lose. I'm really hoping those days are over.

Here's how the season will go:

UNI - we win 38-10
Iowa - we win 14-13
TCU - we lose 35-31
San Jose St. - we win 42-17
Baylor - we lose 49-24
Oklahoma St. - we lose 48-34
Texas - we win 27-24
Kansas St. - we win 30-20
Oklahoma - we lose 56-21
Kansas - we win 41-14
Texas Tech - we win 49-45
West Virginia - we win 28-24

8-4 with a 5-4 conference record. If all of these predictions come true, I better win some cool prize.

Haha if all that comes true I will buy you a prize myself. I do think having a lot of our home games late in the season could be a really good thing since it could be really cold and we should be run heavey

If you get the exact wins and losses correct I'll make sure you get some sort of prize...I'd start with something to get you out of that hole that is NM :plaugh:

Next season I expect around 5-6 wins. Year 2 could end up being really good. We will only have to replace 1 starter in the O line. We will have a bunch of quality QBs in year 2 of the system. 3 solid RBs, 3 solid TEs, and plenty of WRs. Moya, Thadd, Payne, Vincent, peavey all back in in the secondary. LBs will have Northrup, mills, Harvey, and a bunch of young talented guys. The D line will be the only question mark. I think 7 wins in year 2 will happen

Mostly, I just don't want to see us do stupid **** at critical points. We had enough talent last year to win 6-7 games but we constantly put ourselves in disastrous situations that couldn't be escaped. And yes, suffering game-breaking idiocy at important junctures were not unique to Rhoads, as we all know. That's been an ISU thing basically forever. Doesn't mean it can't change.

We should not overestimate the talent currently on the team. We have a weak oline, a mediocre at best quarterback, and a receiving corps that has never lived up to hype. Defense is similar, with a couple real players but overall talent (and skills) low. Campbell makes this season a success through his recruiting (both the class in hand and the groundwork he lays for the future) and his restructuring of the program.

Downer much. That team that doesn't have much talent should have won 6 games and the majority of the team is back. Sure there are question marks but there always is. At the beginning of last season was people talking about Lalk being the weak point of the line...ended up being one of our best

Not saying this team is going to set the world on fire...just that they definitely have talent

Looking like we belong in the Big 12 would be a good start. Not giving up massive and leads failing in the same areas over and over again would be nice too.

A six and six season and a bowl win. Thats what Rhoads did in his first year, so Matt your turn. You have the support for now of the CYCLONE Nation, you have better than average talent, and "YOU" recruited a lot of good talent. Now earn the rest .... win!

I voted for the first option, because that is a success in itself, but I expect 5-6 wins still.

We should be happy with anything north of 3 wins. But I think even 4 wins would be slightly anticlimactic.

6 wins, bowling would be a very successful season in my eyes.
