I feel better about ISU's chances after the way last night played out actually
Brilliant logic. KU players are free of the stress of trying to maintain The Streak and are now playing loose and free. They aren't going to let off the gas for Ellis' Senior Night.

I never said they are going to let off the gas. If ISU would have shot lights out and won by 30 last night and Kansas would have shot poorly and didn't look good I would have felt worse going into the game Saturday.

What's the parking situation in Lawrence?
If you don't want to pay to park and don't mind walking a few minutes, just park along the streets of the neighborhoods south of 19th Street and west of Naismith Drive. Otherwise bring $20 and park in a yard close in.

I want KU to win all of their remaining games, regardless of the opponent. And I definitely want KU to win on Ellis' Senior Night, regardless of the opponent. It just happens to be you guys.

So ISU taking their foot off the gas and let Okie State's practice squad cut the lead down to 6 with 2 minutes to go while KU blew the doors off Texas, who had been 3-0 against Top 10 teams at home on the season makes you feel MORE confident. Seems logical.

Iowa State has shot 38% from 3 on the year but shot 26% from 3 last night. Kansas has shot 43% from 3 on the year (crazy) but shot 68% from last night (also crazy). Law. Of. Averages. You're looking too deep into this or just trying to argue

Obviously a deep run for the seniors would be the BEST way to send them out and leave an even bigger legacy...but, going into Lawrence and beating them as a #1 team would certainly be a great way to spark that run :spinny:

There is a lot of red faced, spittle flying, to the bone hate for ISU coming outta those wheat fields. I wear a hard hat and flak jacket when I read their boards.

not to mention we only had two guys that really did much scoring. That hasn't happened much this year.

Did you not see what Kansas just did to a Texas team fresh off a win against Oklahoma?!? ISU isn't winning on Saturday.

Randomfan has guaranteed a KU win.
Guess I won't need to watch and can get some yard work done.

Wheat fields? Lawrence is like an improved larger version of New York City. Where are you getting this "wheat fields" from?

Niang has been wanting to win at AFH for 4 years now. Got robbed of a victory a couple years ago....they'll be ready.

Lol. Yeah I'm sure the only thing Iowa St players are thinking about this week is "geez, I can't believe we let that 18 point lead slip down to only 6, with less than 4 minutes, on senior night, when we were worried about what we're gunna say after the game."

Let KU's arrogant fans think ISU is going to rollover. Unfortunately Self won't let the team match its fans there.

Fully understand any team winning in Lawarence is a large undertaking but, individuals giving this team no chance hasn't been watching ISU/KU games the past 4 years.
ISU hasn't won in at the Phog but has been victorious the last two meetings at the KC tournament which is a defacto KU home game (not to mention already winning the game at Hilton earlier this year). ISU has given KU the most problems in the league (other than OSU) consistantly the past 3 years and still has the players skills and system that give Self's and his current personel fits. Add in the one thing left for Georges in the Big 12 is win @ KU, he'll be locked in.
KU will, rightfully so, be favored but I fully expect it'll be a good competitve game and will be fun to watch. I can't wait for Saturday @3.

how is the game time at 3 going to affect Perry Ellis and his early bird supper special at Bob Evans? Might come out slow in the 2nd half with a full stomach

KU will not play two games in a row like that. Predict we will win a hard fought game. We have more to play for Saturday then they do. Clones by 3, 81-78.

It's our senior night, and we've never lost a senior night. We lost our final home game back in 1982, but back then there was no senior night celebration following the final home game (this tradition started with Roy). So we've got plenty to play for. I would say that winning on senior night is more important to the team/fans than winning in the Big 12 tournament.

I don't buy that KU has nothing to play for. Self will be preaching to them all week that after the double digit beatdown in Ames earlier this season they have unfinished business. Has everyone forgotten how mad Self was sitting on the bench at the end of that game?

They will be ready to play.

Maybe so, but it is highly unlikely they play as well as they did last night in Austin two games in a row. I like our chances.
