I see some 4th place matches in the brackets. Are they true 4th and only if the 2 haven't wrestled?

I wonder if they'll make Downey wrestle Smith again if he loses in the 3rd place match and Smith wins the 5th place match. I assume yes but who knows. Just gotta beat Noon and make the question moot.

It looks like there is no 4th place match at 184 but there is at 197. Never mind Flo has updated brackets and there is a 4th place match at 197, I was wrong

Only three allocations at 184. No need for true fourth

That 125 bracket ended up being a mess. They should have have seeded Moisey 10th. Since Moisey was #3 and med defaulted after weighing in, the UVU kid at #6 got a free pass to the semis. He went 1-3 in the tournament, his only win being a medical default, and he's going to nationals. Larson benefited too. He lost to the kid that finished 7th.

correct; he beat Noon for 3rd...brain fart last night in semis, but with only 3 matches under his belt going into the tourney, he still qualified...lot of ground to cover before NY.

My thoughts heading into finals...

Happy with 3 finalists. It'll be tough to get a champion but glad those three didn't have a slip up yesterday.

Also happy for Downey and Larson qualifying for Nationals. Downey was close to wrestling for the championship so really impressed with his tournament.

Feel bad for Pestano - so close. Maybe a chance for an at-large?

Thought Scanlon did good, all things considered.

Boston, Meeks, and Breitenbach - keep working hard for next season.

Overall, I thought the guys did well. Nobody performed below my expectations.

I haven't been following other tournaments this weekend to see how many upsets happened at 184. As long as most went to chalk Pestano is good but if a bunch of people got upset Pestano might miss out.

Obviously I'm critical of the coaching staff but I think going with Pestano/Downey for the postseason was a very good decision.
