Here are some realignment scenarios I like:
1. Add Cincy and UConn - easy and obvious. Both programs join the North Division with WVU, ISU, Kansas and K State.
2a. Cincy and UConn join along with Memphis and one of the following schools: Louisville, Pitt or Syracuse. Memphis would be the 7th school in the Big 12 South and that ACC-defector would join the Big 12 North. Football would be a 9 game conference schedule: play everyone in the division and 3 cross-divisional games.
2b. If no team would leave the ACC then extend an invites to UConn, Cincy, Memphis & Temple. Temple becomes the "Rutgers" of the Big 12 and extends the Big 12 TV footprint to the Philadelphia market (#4 in the nation) and opens up the recruiting footprint into PA.
3. Forget UConn and Cincy and invite Arizona, Arizona State, BYU and either Boise State or Colorado State. Divisions would be a mess to figure out and WVU would be stranded but it adds 3 higher-caliber programs than any of the previous scenarios.
