I am sure all the other Big 12 coaches are thrilled that Matt Campbell is helping facilitate Michigan getting a better foothold in to Texas recruiting, the same way Alabama and others were thrilled with Michigan holding spring training at one of the elite high school football programs in the county, IMG, here in Bradenton. I like the move, but I would expect some backlash as Campbell moves forward because without a Big 12 school as part of the camp I doubt Michigan would try to do this.
Because Harbaugh and Michigan couldn't have done it without ISU?

I have found one thing I don't like: lack of spring videos. Please don't defend this. There is no reason to not show drill work or 7 on 7 stuff. Not showing anything of practice is as old school ( or old way of thinking) as it gets. Rhoads didn't even go down that road.

The satellite camp sounds like a good idea if we can pull it off.

I liked the recruiting class for the most part. I think the staff made a big mistake by not recruiting another juco linebacker though.

I'll always support the ISU coaching staff even though I find the ridiculous comparisons to Rhoads' staff tiresome ( not factually accurate).

I am most excited about the possibility of change that will make Campbell's staff successful if he can coach. And that's conference expansion to 12 teams and divisions. (Possibly 8 big 12 games instead of 9)

Anyone who thinks our current schedule is set up for regular 8 or 9 win seasons is delusional.

(See the Iowa schedule for terrible teams and good record evidence)

What? I feel like there's more video than ever now.

Same. Still have no idea how this all translates to wins, but these attempts at doing something different and more modern is incredibly refreshing.

It's all about the recruits, the recruits, the recruits...........is that a song?????

They have only had 7 practices and they are still getting to know everyone. They are still releasing some short ones about with every practice. I bet next year we will get a lot more when they are comfortable with all the players

Campbell has went on the road doing camps before while at Toledo. Difference being that Toledo didn't pair up with amother school. The only backlash will be these big time complaining teams/coaches offering him the moon to get him as OC if he wants that type job some day.

Agreed. Toledo had great spring coverage and motivational films.

Somebody remind me what the black helmet pads are for? Specifically, why some players have them and others don't?

The last two or three years at Toledo, they were worn by players with a concussion history. Not sure of the exact criteria, but they were worn by 20-30 players.

I just hope to hell nobody feels compelled to start a thread with the title "Matt Campbell has Sucked" in 4 or 5 years.

Which means he is winning games and building the brand (and not interviewing for the next ND, USC, or Bama opening).

Love the attitude and aggressiveness so far. It's refreshing. Time will tell how successful he is. In the meantime I will enjoy the ride.

Harbaugh set up a camp with Briles and the Baylor staff in Waco set for July. They set that up at least a month ago, so CMC isn't the first one in the boat on this one.

And to be blunt...who the F cares what the other coaches in the conference think about it? They've thought of ISU as a pretty easy win for how many years now? It's time to even things out, at the very least, just a little bit with the "power" schools in the conference.

I think that s drinking game involving a shot every time CW says he loves a coach would get you much drinker than the Georges/Noel drinking game.

Harbaugh, drew, briles, Schneider/self/Kruger/the list never ends.

Tad Boyle?

When Campbell says the word value, I think we need to know what it means. This is a cheap way to find some talent that wants to play at ISU.
