Stumbled upon a comic book spoiler a couple months ago and IIRC he does kill someone with the bat.

Yeah, I caught that spoiler too. I'm wondering if they don't change the target now though. But who knows.

They changed the target for Dwights crossbow to Dr Denise, so there's nothing saying they won't change this one.

Half the cast isn't even in the comic so I am betting 100% the target is changed. If I were to take a stab at it, I am betting he has red hair.
For a good laugh, I remember this episode when the show creator flat out said the spoiler in an episode of @midnight. Don't watch if you don't want to be spoiled. This is the biggest reason why I think the target gets changed. Watch the other cast members and Hardrick's face after LOL.

Negan's gonna whack Carl with that spiked bat.

They are doing some interesting foreshadowing. First, Glen stares at the polaroids of Negans's handiwork at the compound, and now Carl picks up the gun with the bat carving. Probably just throwing us off and it will be someone out of left field.

This show is losing me. I get so frustrated how they have characters do stupid crap just to set up a comic book situationstore.

The comics are fun because they have the super hero edge that a comic can have and it just doesn't translate well to this "reality" style and massive character development focus.

I think Fear has way more potential because it isn't trapped by cannon.

It's starting to lose me too. I'm still looking forward (and alternately somewhat dreading) Sunday night, but I also am wondering if the writers have reached their "fat and happy" stage since they know that viewers will turn in by the millions anyway regardless of the show's quality.

I really enjoyed FTWD myself, maybe more so than most fans, but I had to shake my head at the people who complain about TWD also complaining about FTWD...in large part because it wasn't more like "The Walking Dead."

I thought fear the walking dead was terrible and quit after 4 episodes. I didn't like the characters which is as big a driving force for me as the ******.
I admit I agree with some peoples issues with this show, but I assure you it's not worse because of canon, it's worse because they steered away from canon in favor of fans and questionable content.
The finale for instance, I am sure Jeffery Dean Morgan will be great but there is no way to portray Negan the same way because he is rated a hard R. I am not sure how they will portray him.

Kinda feels like Star Trek...

Let's send Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Sulu, Chekov, and Uhura on the away mission. Not leave any decent leadership on the Enterprise.
