What is the potential season cliffhanger that will keep everyone wanting more? ToJ not complete? LSH reveal? What do you think?

I am wondering what they are going to do in the last episode where they need the additional 15 minutes. I don't see how they could get the ToJ scene in next episode with the huge battle and all. But maybe they will in the final episode and there will be some other big reveal? My guess is that KL is going to explode in more than one way.

Anybody else curious about the High Sparrow's background? He's completely out maneuvering Cersei so far which is not an easy feat

Agree with all you said here for sure. I enjoyed this episode a lot. Although I do find D&D's writing to be somewhat predictable. Whenever they try and make someone seem heroic or something serious, I can see the line coming from a mile away, which makes it kinda cheesy at some points for me. But I still love it all the same. I can't wait for the final 2 episodes.

My bold part was to let you know, as much as you may hate it, that storyline is going to have a big part to play in the coming books. So, sorry in advance.

I just hope there is such a thing!

Two things:

1) You theory is that Arya had that bolt hole set up the entire time? So she either had the longest burning candle in history or she somehow managed to light it before the waif shows up. If she planned to lure the waif back to her place the whole time, then why did she spend the night at the acctresses apartment? Was she just being cruel? If she planned to fight the waif in the dark, why did she let herself get stabbed on the bridge. It makes zero sense no matter how you look at it.

2) Explain to me how they are going to get those boats from the slavers? And if they do get the boats from the slavers, then what is the purpose of the Greyjoy fleet?

In REAL life piracy the ships are rarely destroyed. Maybe all the people manning those ships gets scared around dragons and quit fighting? Too much of a plot hole...

I really think you and a few others are over-thinking a show about dragons. The speculation is fun but when it crosses over into anger it just becomes sad.

There is literally nothing, all I remember is them talking about him traveling through all of the realm acting as a septon to the poor that do not have a sept of their own. He and his followers came into KL and showed their force, and somewhat strong-armed him into the position of High Septon. Other than that, there is little known about him

My prediction - we've moved past the minor stuff. This season's cliffhanger - Dany leaves for Westeros (or prepares to), and the White Walkers either attack the wall, or go around or through it somehow.

You do not understand what I am saying. What was the point of Arya's story arc? Why did we watch so much of her in Bravos if, at the end, she couldn't stand on a bridge and watch out for an assassin that she clearly knew was coming for her? She "acted dumb and got stabbed"?? Really? That is what we were waiting to see? And why did the FL repeat over and over that she had to let go of her former life and become "no one" if at the end he smiles when she says she is Arya? I am glad you like shows with huge plot holes, but I don't. And the fact that you have to make up things for Brienne in order to make her story mean something, shows how much of a problem there is.

What can we expect Arya to do? She can't change faces. She didn't really learn to fight much except in the dark I guess. And Daenarys? She shows up in the middle of a siege, with ships raining fire on her city and she lets her dragon fly off? How are you not completely annoyed by that? Three passes from Drogon and that fleet is toast.

For ME, one who doesn't agonize over plots and subplots, I felt Arya finally came to the realization of who she is and what she is supposed to do.

The show isn't about dragons at all. They have very little screen time and are only minor characters.

But I agree with you regarding anger, that is just silly. However, The plot is quite deep and the world intricate, it's not a show about dragons or white walkers, it is a show about people.

I agree that there is always editing that can be done. Braveheart was just an example of where the fighting is cool but the best parts are not in those scenes. The scene where his wife dies is powerful, for example. It is hard to convey emotion on the internet I suppose. I am extremely disappointed with the whole Arya thing and that is clouding my opinion. There are some good parts from the last episode. I loved the Hound parts, the parts with Pod, Jaimie's conversation with Edmure was very good, the Mountain (Although I wish he had killed all of those guys), and Cersei.

I just can't get over the fact that Arya was stabbed three times in the guts, with the knife twisted, and she somehow is up and running around. Oh sure, she is bleeding a little bit but that is minor. At least give me some magic potion or something so I can make it work.

Poppy juice was given and Arya objected. Maybe THAT was a potion.

Agreed. And the thing about this show, is almost 100% of the the things we see on screen are for a reason. Yeah, there may be a little dialogue filler here and there, to make us laugh or whatever, but if you watch it all the way back through, things that happen in season 1-2-3 are coming to fruition in things that are happening now. It is a very in depth show/storyline that has lots of thought behind it. The characters are deeper than "an psychotoic killer" or a "vengeful person" there are little things within each character that make them unique and different in the way the Game of Thrones is played in their head. And at the end of the day, it is fantasy, so some things that seem impossible, can be somewhat improbable.

Only two more seasons left. They have announced that next season will only have 7 episodes...so assuming season 8 has ten there are only roughly 19 episodes left in the series. I would assume this season will end with the White Walkers gathered at the wall...ready to attack early in season 7. Jon will retake Winterfell in the final episode of this season and the Greyjoys will join the Mother of Dragons. With that said I think season 8 is when most of the heavy plot movement will begin to resolve. Cerci will die in season 7 as will Tommon.

Cersei blows up the sept at King's Landing with the Wildfyre and makes her escape with Qyburn and the Mountain.

Dany, with the aid of the Yara, Theon, and the dragons stop the masters and add their ships to their fleet. They then set sail for Westeros.

A raven is received at Winterfell - White Walkers have broken through the wall and are heading South to Winterfell.

Most things I have seen are 7 episodes next season and 6 episodes the last season.

The Battle of the Bastards is next episode, so I am assuming that we will figure out the Lord of Winterfell by the end of next episode. I don't think the Greyjoys can make it to Meereen because there is no way that Euron has the 1000 ships he needs yet, unless you are talking about Yara and Theon, if so then they're walking into a sh*tstorm.

There is a lot left to advance the stories, not sure what all will get covered in last 2 episodes except Battle for Winterfell.

- Battle for Winterfell
- End of Ramsey?
- Disposition of Baelish and KoV?
- Dany and dragons destroy slaver's fleet in bay?
- Theon/Asha arrive in Meereen?
- We have to have more Sam/Gilly?
- Bran reaches the wall?
- What is plan for Hound/BWB, LSH, Brienne?
- Dorne?
- End of High Septon?
- End for Tommen?
- Jaime returns to KL?
- Cersei/Loras trial?

If I had to guess, I think Cersei/Jaime/HighSepton/KL (wildfire?) will be the cliffhanger. I would not be surprised if Arya and ToJ will not move forward much more.

A thought occurred to me while reading this. Something tells me something big happens maybe including Jamie bring all the lanisters troops into kings landing to kill the sparrow. Tommen gets killed somewhere in the process, Cersei in her rage tries to blow up or does blow up kings landing and Jamie chokes her to death becoming the Valenquar (sp).
Thoughts?
