Why would the Lannisters have anything to do with who succeeds Tommen? As far as the throne is concerned he's a Baratheon, wouldn't someone from that line be the king? Obviously the Lannisters will try to keep the throne but they have no claim, unless their are no Baratheon's left right?

Yeah it's going to come down to whoever has the biggest army in the city. Then they have to keep everyone else at bay.

The Tyrells are currently occupying KL, but I don't think they'll be able to put Loras on the throne with the Faith around.

In the end I think Dany shows up and is the catalyst for change in Kings Landing.

Here's something we've been discussing at work among those that watch the show. Could Jon be the son of Robert and Lyanna? Robert was obsessed with Lyanna, but Lyanna wasn't much into Robert (based on show dialogue and Ned's reaction to Robert's speech in the crypt at WF). What if Robert got Lyanna prego right before RT kidnapped her? Ned finds out after Robert's Rebellion and has to keep the secret because otherwise the Rebellion was a huge mistake.

That would be an interesting twist, but I don't there's anything written that supports it. All of the hints that Rheagar was a really good person who wouldn't kidnap and rape Lyanna would be pointless.

And why would the Kings Guard be there to protect Lyanna if she was having someone elses baby

I watched the review videos for S6E8 from New Rockstars, GoT Academy, and Alt Shift X. Here are my thoughts:

Alt Shift X - best at reviewing the story, really nice job of consolidating clips

New Rockstars - present the review from a film student perspective which I find fascinating, I also really like how they go in-depth on their theories

GoT Academy - the interest here is more in the presenters themselves.

Youtube > Emergency Awesome.

That's the one I follow.

I still think its very possible King's Landing is blown up and wiped off the map which would cause all 7 kingdoms to draw back to their own territories. Then Dany shows up and has to try to unite them again.

I saw a post somewhere that had me cracking up.

"Ned stark to the rescue!"
