But you call ISU a basketball school based on the last three seasons? Gotcha.
Hawkeye logic would say the last 3 seasons makes ISU equal to Michigan St, UNC, Duke, Kentucky since we've made it to the same number of Sweet 16's. Or that we are comparable since there was a ranking of ISU as a #4 during that time frame.

And please tell me that 2 out of the last 3 have been Sweet 16 teams, but yet last season they had to beat double digit seeds to get there. Kind of the same argument you're making Iowa's football schedule is garbage.
Regular season S.O.S. basketball or football and who you play in the postseason aren't the same indicator. ISU consistently has a tough S.O.S. in both sports and Iowa doesn't.

State of Iowa
I'll make a slight change to the topic and say "Who do the Hoks want-to-be like".
That's easy....there are more tavern hok trolls on this board then their own crap site HN.

This makes it very clear they want to be like their BIG Brother....Iowa State.

PS...I put a few of these fools on the ignore list and it's been a pleasant change not to read all of that delusional crap.

Who is comparing ISU to those teams? All I'm saying is CyTwins says ISU is a basketball school and Iowa plays a non existent football schedule.

ISU is a basketball school and Iowa plays an incredibly weak schedule in football. Not sure what you're getting at
What makes ISU a "basketball school?" That's what I'm asking. You guys have bashed Iowa's "nonexistent" schedule to no end.

Selling out a large arena in a small college town without having to give out free ice cream, pizza, bobble heads....

When people of think of Iowa State they think Men's Basketball just like when they think of Iowa they think of them as a Wrestling school.

Everyone makes fun of Iowa's schedule not just ISU fans and rightfully so

No one. That's my point. We aren't delusional like how Iowa fans think they compare to OU.

LOL, most sane Iowa fans know we aren't OU. You need to stop engaging with that crowd.

So just selling the arena because of "fan passion" makes you a basketball school. Got it.

Sure as **** doesn't hurt. Fans, arena, the number of games on National TV, the announcers adore the atmosphere, people camping out for days, S.O.S, the list goes on and on.
Went large schools don't want to come to play you, you've become a basketball school.
Even a Big 10 power in OSU was too chicken **** to play in Ames and we ended up playing them in Des Moines but ISU wasn't too afraid to play on their campus.
