A buddy of mine covers Omaha.

After tonight's game, I asked him how in the world that team that we saw at Hilton tonight could have possibly won at Iowa.

"I've covered this team for three years and I've never seen them play that bad," he said.

He thought a lot of it had to do with Iowa State, especially how the Cyclones jumped on the Mavs so quickly. Also said Omaha just played horribly - played very well on Saturday.

Not really sure what the point of this other than I'm sure many of you probably thought the same thing after tonight's game.

You let that mother ****** downplay our victory like that? Please tell me you punched him in the face and made him bow down to the statue of Johnny Orr.

Or perhaps your buddy hasn't seen a team like ISU play that good of defense in three years.

I think we're probably 20-25 points better than Omaha on any given night, but we were focused on both ends of the court, and it showed. It also gets out of hand when one team's bench is as good or better than the other team's starters (bench had 44 points last night by my last count).

Yeah the bench played real well. It was nice to see Jackson light it up. That should be a nice confidence boost.

not being overly critical but the difference i see from the last few games is we actually made shots. the ball movement seemed a little better but the offense is still a work in progress. The offensive improvement is just magnified by the quality of the opponent.

It's still a work in progress, but the ball movement was much, much better, and most of the shots we took were wide open.

Long way to go but I thought there was really nice ball movement on several occasions. Also got out and ran more.

When we move and share the ball - good things happen. Every time. When we don't, we struggle. I think its really that simple on offense.
