This may be a bit of a stretch, but I remember hearing that we offered Zion Williamson a while back. I just wanted to know if we have had any sort of contact with him since the offer? Obviously it seems like every school in the nation wants him, but I was just thinking about it after watching one of his recent highlight tapes. Kid is an absolute freak of nature.

We did offer him in April according to Corey Evans. I'm assuming we will be concentrating our time and resources on 2018 guys we have a more realistic shot at though.

Yeah....I have a better shot at getting pregnant than ISU getting Williamson. Impossible.

Jakobi could be Prohm's next priority

http://www.scout.com/college/basket...38289-tark-gordon-says-3-are-prioritizing-him

"
“Iowa State, OSU and UCLA are trying to get me to see where I can fit in with their programs,” he said. “Those schools are recruiting me hard and I have a good relationship with all the coaches.”

Gordon’s father is from Los Angeles and has connection for Bruins assistant Duane Broussard.

“I like UCLA,” he added. “My dad is from there. I love the city and all of that. I love the camp
With Iowa State, Gordon said there’s a draw with their style of play. “I like their coach,” Gordon said. “I like the way they play and their head coach, I’m real close with their head coach. I love they way they play fast and get up and down the court.”

Baylor offered Thompson this morning. He watched Wigginton last night and liked what he saw.

Jamal Bieniemy who ISU watched recently also plays for TBAC with Jacobi Gordon and Darius McNeill. Appears we might be ratcheting up our efforts in Texas.

True, although it sure seemed like they really swung for the fences in that region. With the exception of Feazell, every recruit we were after was either a high 4 star or 5 star. Sexton, Weatherspoon, Okeke, Perry, O'Connell - all rated 62 or higher on 247.

We struck out equally with players in the MW like Brian Bowen, Justin Goodwin, Nojel Eastern, Justin Smith, Mitchell Ballock who are rated in about the same range.

I feel like it's going to take more time and more offers/appearances at schools for the staff to get the ISU brand to stick like they want it to in the SE. CSP and crew don't have enough of an identity at ISU nationally yet, but once they do they'll be better able to sell it, everywhere.. not just the SE.

Even so, getting kids to come north into colder weather is always going to be tough. A lot of them will want to stay close to home also, so I'm hoping the staff builds closer recruiting ties to the upper midwest. Our 3 freshman coming in next season look geographically similar to a lot of our classes. A Canadian, Milwaukee, and a kid out of Texas
