My son actually defended me when the husband was boasting about how much quicker he can clean the living room. "Well, Mom actually moves the furniture when she vacuums and doesn't just do your dust around move.":) Sure, I know people can't see it but some of us have some pesky allergies and I am always on a mission with the dog hair.

My wife is probably the worst housekeeper ever, but it's inherited. Her two sisters are even worse. I've come to enjoy cleaning. It helps keep my blood pressure down while watching ISU basketball games.

R U my mom;)? She also cleans during games.

Well in my defense, I'm the deep cleaner and my wife is the one that half asses it. It's perplexing how long it takes her to clean. I can have my place looking acceptable for company in under an hour. Solidly cleaned in two max. A super deep clean might take the evening. But since my wife's opinion of clean is less than mine, I was able to get away with making it acceptable without her noticing the difference.

While we are on the cleaning topic. My wife get's annoyed when I start doing something that she was supposedly planning on doing. I am doing it because it needs to get done and I have time so I might as well help out. She takes it offensively says I am going about it the wrong way.

When we're in a rush and I stop to pick up fast food for dinner, I've started getting an extra order of small fries to eat on the way home. I always underestimate the amount of time it takes to get home and end up stuffing my mouth full of fries as I turn on to our block so that nobody will ask who the extra order of fries is for.

Lol I never turn down husband's offer to clean. Even half-assed is better than nothing.

Not exactly sure.
I fold clothes quite often, especially when wife asks. Found out she refoldes everything I fold. So why does she ask? I also don't clean at all. Wife gets mad because she has certain styles she wants things done So I get chewed out for not cleaning or cleaning wrong. I figure the first route is easier.

When we go to her friend's place (some relatives) for supper, I will sneak a sandwich beforehand. Her family makes crap like lutefisk that I refuse to eat.

Who makes lutefisk for company? Unless it's old Norwegian company.

I don't blame you man. I was forced to eat the lutefisk at a Norwegian family reunion.

On this note:
I know a lot of other men do this, so it's not original.
I do things wrong the first time, so my wife doesn't ask me to do them again. She's not quite the perfectionist that BCClone describes, but she has her tendencies. If she sees me doing it wrong she just takes it and does it for me.

Her mom is Norwegian. I'm also lactose intolerant and everything she makes is loaded with dairy. Even when I take pills, I can't overcome her dairy crazy food. Her friend's always make screwy things. The last couple we will just go out to eat and it's better.

I'd do this, but I can't stand how my wife folds things. A better description of her folding would be "wadding".
