Even if the chick is crazy and out to get the KU basketball players, I have a feeling she's no the only one at fault in this situation. I don't think the KU boys were on the way to choir practice when all of this just happened to them.
As far as the Title 9 stuff goes. It is illegal for him to know. The athletic department is intentionally kept away from it.

KU has nothing to so with the timing of any of this. The police are in charge of how fast this investigation goes. I am sure that KU and the basketball team would like this wrapped up as soon as possible.
And I had not seen that anyone involved with KU had said so much as a peep about any alleged victim of any of the issues involving KU. Feel free to provide a link if I missed something, I have been swamped at work these days.
Do you honestly believe the University can't impact the timing of the investigation? "Oh Bill isn't available until Wednesday..." etc. etc. These aren't subpoenas with a date and time. The University absolutely can slow play it.
The players listed as witnesses in the alleged rape case were all interviewed back in December by the police.
As for Bill, what would the police need to talk to him about? He is not involved in any of these cases in any way. The police would never have any need to discuss anything with him.
McCarthy is a "den" for basketball players. That's why it was created, to assist recruiting them to Ku. Other students are there only for cover required by regulation and for no other reason.
Since these ballers are under his control, it would seem reasonable that the police visit with Self or at least put him on notice. I'm sure he has known since day one about their involvement. To suggest otherwise is the purest form of delusion.
Thats idiotic. Bill Self has no more legal status over these players than you or I do. The police arent going to "visit" with someone who has nothing to do with a legal investigation. They are investigating a possible rape, not chatting about hoops.
There is nothing that Bill Self could possibly say that would be relevant to the investigation other than confirming what times the team bus left KC and arrived in Lawrence that night and any of the dozens of people on board can do that.

You are so in the tank for Ku hoops that you've lost touch with reality. I can assure you that Bill Snyder knows every time one of his youngsters takes a sneeze. To think Self is somehow different is laughable.
The only thing Self said he doesn't know anything about is the Title IX investigation and that is because he can't legally know anything. As far as the rape investigation goes. There is no indication that any player is involved and it would seem almost impossible for that to be the case. And if a player isn't a suspect, why the hell would Self know the details of it? The police aren't going to be sharing information with him.
